★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Si accede al rifugio dalla SP92 che da Zafferana Etnea sale verso il rifugio Sapienza, o da via Catania che sale da Tarderia. Si può raggiungere pure monte Serra Pizzuta Galvarina con splendide viste fino allo Ionio
The refuge is accessed from the SP92 which climbs from Zafferana Etnea towards the Sapienza refuge, or from via Catania which climbs from Tarderia. Monte Serra Pizzuta Galvarina can also be reached with splendid views up to the Ionian Sea

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rifugio caratterizzato dalla presenza di diverse grotte laviche ad est dello stesso, opportunamente transennate. È possibile accedere all'interno della principale, mentre occorre prestare molta attenzione ai fori presenti nel terreno con cavità sub-verticali profonde. Molto bello il contesto paesaggistico e boschivo, così come i piccoli centri eruttivi periferici nell'intorno e facilità di accesso tramite i sentieri.
Refuge characterized by the presence of several lava caves to the east of it, suitably cordoned off. It is possible to access inside the main one, while it is necessary to pay close attention to the holes in the ground with deep sub-vertical cavities. The landscape and woodland context is very beautiful, as are the small peripheral eruptive centers in the surroundings and easy access via the paths.
