★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cold food, cold staff, more than expensive for too little food and awful toilet.
Waited over 45 minutes to be served cold pasta and risotto, than other 30 minutes for cold tiny pieces of roasted meat.
They didn't provide oil salt or pepper for the salad. Avoid going there for a meal if you have a chance.
Bathroom was disgusting. No water coming out from the water tabs, no toilet paper, no hand paper towels, hand dryer worked but only with cold air. And it was way to dirty! Worse than old highway gas station toilets.
They managed to kill and ruin a perfect day. Will never step foot there again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant was fantastic. Quite a shock given the distance that you have to drive to get there. It was a welcome relief to find such a gem. The buffet food was very good. There is quite a crowd here so the turnover on the buffet was high --> resulting in fresh new food. Bathrooms are relatively clean. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating and an area to pick up volcanic jewelry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice restaurant in a very important location as it is located at the starting point of many hiking tracks. Inside there I souvenir shop where you can buy original products. The bar is well can realise any hot drink, has a good variety of local wines and a basic stock of spirits. Particularly good was the hot chocolate, to which you can add a shot of liquor if you want.
The food looks good and the seating capacity of medium. Definitely stop by after or before an hike on that side of the mountain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to stop for hot chocolate. I took only a coffee and it was very good. The staff is friendly and they gave us some bags we needed for free. I will stop again. 5 stars not based on the food, please very important. I didn't try any yet.

We visited the Silvestri Crater on a blustery cold day in early September. We stopped in to the restaurant to use the restroom and warm up. The owner greeted us and had the staff prepare incredible hot cocoa. The aromas and flavors added to the aesthetic appeal of the dining hall, creating a memorable experience.
You can climb several small craters and see all the way to the beach in Catania from this picturesque restaurant.
