Elegant, out of time: it takes you back on time. The Italy you would expect to see.

Nice piazza with many kiosks to explore! However, this was one of the busiest places I have even been to in Italy! We were shoulder to shoulder with others. We still enjoyed their many good options and all Christmas stuff and other things they were selling.

Really beautiful place to visit in Verona. I just loved the architecture of the buildings and the fountain.

Lovely and lively place. Nice market stalls when we visited. Definitely a good spot to pause for a while and look at the architecture.

Who doesn't love a medieval Piazza. It is chaotic and astir with activities, restaurants, bars, boutiques, clicky tourists....we passed through purely by coincidence, I am not a fan of overcrowded places, unfortunately my other half is - he likes to indulge in an Aperitivo nearby, under those iconic umbrellas to soak in the atmosphere and people watching. The Veronesi love their spritz, almost every bars outdoor seats were brimming with carefree tourists and locals. I took the opportunity to admire the old monuments surrounding the plaza, for example the cascading Fountain of Madonna smack bang in the middle of the hectic square, beautifully painted Mazzanti House, Torrei dei Lamberti, the majestic Palazzo Maffei with statues of Hercules, Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, Apollo, and Minerva, a whale rib bone dangling from Arco della Costa. A market here sells, vegetables, drinks and souvenirs - fancy a mask from Venice without going to the canal city itself? You will find one to your liking. I noticed that they shut down at 6PM. A few hours later, my other half is still sitting in the very same spot and had taken the liberty to order a BOTTLE of Prosecco.?. Like it or not, I had stayed on till dusk at the oldest square but indeed a lively heart of Verona.

A great combination of historical buildings and nice restaurants with a central view of the center. We visited this place on sunday and there was a bazaar with huge variaty of souvenirs. Defintely you should stop for a while and enjoy the atmosphere in here.

Every time I come to Verona I stay for hours in Piazza delle Erbe (the oldest in the city) because I consider this square a real charm .. and perhaps the truest corner of the city. A corner where palaces, towers, statues and architectural elements from various eras overlap creating a harmonious, unique and unrepeatable collage. Piazza delle Erbe is one of the most beautiful Italian squares in Italy I've ever seen! I have always loved the square for its continuous meeting point of people and cultures, and for its ability to generate authentic stories.

Visited in early January, they had a Christmas market in which was good fun. Picked up chestnuts and mulled wine, purchased the usual tourist merch and marvelled at the buildings. Great spot at Christmas.
