Church in Verona, Catholic Christian, in Romanesque / Renaissance style, the construction dates back to the twelfth century. and the end in the twentieth century It borders directly with the Roman forum, now P.zza Erbe, hence its name, which, always for this proximity, had the title of Basilica. The Renaissance portal is beautiful, carved by Gerolamo Giolfino, with the three statues: S. Giovanni Evangelista, S. Pietro and S. Giovanni Battista. Importantly, this portal was commissioned by a rector of the church. This church gives the effect of a niche, a small, beautiful and collected jewel.

Small Veronese Romanesque church with walls characterized by alternating terracotta and river stones. The mosaic floor is beautiful. The nativity scene made by the soldiers of the war of 15-18 with leftover bread is unique. It is not among the best known monuments of Verona, but if you have the time it is worth being vists

The church dates at least back to the XII century. The church was damaged by a fire that destroyed most of Verona in 1172 and by this reason, it has affixed an inscription engraved on a marble triptych on the external wall, which commemorates the event of that year "combusta est civitas Verone"
