★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had two nights in Montepulciano and for our first night we booked this place. We were not disappointed as the food was so good that we re-booked for the following night. The host was very friendly and she explained whenever we asked something, the meat here is exceptional. Covid measures are very respected in this place. Please make sure to try the cantucci with the vino santo and also the torta della nonna. Do not try to come without a booking as even in December they were refusing people without booking as it was full. Thankyou for making our stay here a great one. X

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I had dinner here twice. The food was great. We had the bean soup which was amazing, truffle ravioli and some pork meat with roasted vegetables. The home-made tiramisu and lava cake were one of the best I've had. They also had a good selection of wines by the glass. The place was very busy, but the service was very good. We were given some time between the courses and did not feel rushed. We would definitely go back if in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A group of six of us visited Osteria Del Conte on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed hands down the best food of our trip to Tuscany. It was well worth the trip to the top of the hill. Three of us had the set menus - one was three courses costing €25 and the other four courses costing €30, including antipasti, pasta, steak tagliata and a dessert of your choice, both with included glasses of the local red wine. This is Italian food at its best - simple, but tasty with the freshest ingredients. If in Montepulciano, this is a must visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A true highlight restaurant on top of the walled hill it is a must to get a reservation or chance a 9:30 seating. It is a tiny place but well worth the wait. The wait staff is warm like you walked into an Italian grandmother’s dining room. The food is excellent and also feels like the recipes were passed down over the centuries. I would come again in heartbeat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located up the hill with nice outdoor seatings. Definitely very pleasant to be out here on a cool summer night. Food was good but not spectacular. We had Pici (homemade pasta) 3 meals in a row in Montepulciano and would say the one we had here was okay only. Also had a steak Florentine, again wasn’t the most flavorful. My son had the lamb chops which seemed to be a good call. If you’re here for a few days in Montepulciano, it’s not a bad choice to include in one of your meal choices. But if not, there are definitely better restaurants here. Service was friendly though asking for an extra bottle of water and getting the check took a while.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I loved my lunch here at Osteria del Conte so much that I chose to come here for my final dinner in Montepulciano with friends. The food and service here are amazing! I really enjoyed the ravioli with pecorino and the mixed seafood grill. This is one of the only restaurants in Montepulciano with seafood and they do an amazing job preparing it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great restaurant, although it is a bit more on the expensive side, the food is really good. The pasta was nice, but what really stood out was the tagliata (meat). It was very tender and perfectly prepared, the best we had in italy. The desserts were also very good. I can recommend this place!
