Vassoi di pici o gnocchi o tagliatelle, ragù, aglione o condimento alle 'briciole'. La semplicità è estrema ma per chi ama il genere locale un po' ruspante, una garanzia. Really traditional and genuine cuisine, absolutely not touristy. A lot of little aesthetic substance. Trays of pici or gnocchi or tagliatelle, ragù, aglione or condiment with 'crumbs'. Simplicity is extreme but for those who love the local style a bit free-range, a guarantee.

Llegamos a la estación de tren de Montepulciano y un montón de lugareños nos miraban con cara de que hacíamos ahí sin auto y sin reserva y tratando de ayudarnos.... Nos explicaron que el pueblo estaba a 10 km y ya no había forma de llegar a esa hora, hasta que luego de esperar y pensar nos consiguieron un vehículo. El conductor en Italiano nos trató de explicar un poco sobre el pueblo y nos llevó a un pequeño y modesto alojamiento que estaba en reformas para pasar la noche y en nuestro presupuesto, y nos dio el mejor consejo: No dejar de comer en el restaurante de este pequeño alojamiento que íbamos a probar la verdadera pasta italiana casera, sin dudas la mejor comida casera que probamos en el viaje y hecha con amor.... Nos fuimos a los 2 días sin recordar el nombre del lugar, pero siempre recordándolo con cariño, y lo rico que comimos, y lo amorosa que fue la señora al despedirnos para continuar nuestro viaje. Hoy después de 13 años acomodando fotos veo que en una muy chiquito se lee el nombre del lugar que tantas veces intenté encontrar en Internet.... Ristorante Cittino. ❤❤❤ Quite a surprise .... Year 2007 we took a ticket to Montepulciano without cell phones, without Internet, or plans .... We arrived at the Montepulciano train station and a lot of locals looked at us with the face that we were doing there without a car and without reservation and trying to help us .... They explained that the town was 10 km away and there was no way to get there at that time, until after waiting and thinking they got us a vehicle. The driver in Italian tried to explain a bit about the town and took us to a small and modest accommodation that was under renovation for the night and on our budget, and gave us the best advice: Do not stop eating in the restaurant of this small accommodation that we were going to try the real homemade italian pasta, without a doubt the best homemade food that we tried on the trip and made with love .... We left after 2 days without remembering the name of the place, but always lovingly remembering it , and how rich we ate, and how loving the lady was when we said goodbye to continue our journey. Today after 13 years arranging photos I see that in a very small one the name of the place is read that so many times I tried to find on the Internet .... Ristorante Cittino. ❤❤❤

Ambiente molto casalingo, sembra di stare a casa delle proprietarie, ma questo è da considerarsi come valore aggiunto. Prezzi bassi in super centro, e primi di una bontà infinita: pasta fatta in casa e sughi tradizionali. Questo posto, seppur piccolo merita molta più visibilità. Consigliatissimo. When you enter this place, you go back to Sunday at the grandparents' house. Very homey environment, it feels like home of the owners, but this is to be considered as an added value. Low prices in super center, and first in an infinite goodness: homemade pasta and traditional sauces. This place, although small, deserves much more visibility. Highly recommended.

L'atmosfera che si respira all'interno del locale è la stessa che si respira a casa della nonna, e non fa eccezione il cibo cucinato ancora come una volta. Pasta fatta a mano tutti i giorni, sughi fatti in casa e arrosto di pollo del vicino. Ottimo posto per chi desidera assaporare i veri sapori di una volta. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is the same as in the grandmother's house, and the food cooked as it used to be is no exception. Which is a beautiful thing meaning everything is made fresh. Final thing to note, the food is cooked and prepared by a real ‘nonna’, ensuring you’ll get a perfectly cooked meal and a beautiful traditional experience.
