This museum had a 5 star review when we visited. It has no information in there that you can't gain from any of the far better sites in and arou d Florence. It consisted of several information panels, a few coins, seals and a model of a battle. The other rooms had a random display of projected art, a pretty dire example of a renaissance banquet and a room dedicated to pushing naff wine on you. Avoid. And save yourself some euros.

I very much enjoyed my visit to Museo de'Medici. The staff are friendly and excited to offer help or guidance throughout the museum. The space is small, but it has been used fairly well. Make sure you check out the gorgeous fresco on the ceiling in the washroom from the 16th century. Their use of technology is also one of the best I've seen so far in Florence.

If your aren't an expert on the Medicis then you are lost. Hard to get any useful information. Weird english explanations if any. So don't waste time and money. Get a book on the Medici background. Very friendly staff indeed but that's not why I am visiting a museum...

Total waste of 9 euros. Do not waste your time or energy. Most documents are poor quality copies, portraits are dreadful, no coherent explanations. The battery of my mobile was running low so I couldn’t use the QR codes. I did not learn a thing This is not a real museum just a scam, stay away.

I have a ticket with exact date/time for the entrance. But I am standing in front of closed doors. It is not open to the public. It is inside a building where people live and I have no choice but to wait in a hallway or leave. Not cool to sell tickets and no one is there to let you in.

Go to this museum JUST if you know about the Medici family. Is an small museum, people are VERY FRIENDLY and you will find objects and paints from the family. This museum is for people that love this amazing story. Is not a “blockbuster” museum. Is for people that know history and had read a lot about Medici. If you are not this king of tourist just don’t go and go for something more “popular” for you. If you want to buy GREAT BOOKS about the Medici they have a small store with a lot of books

The Medici is a gem of a museum. It is not too large but filled with information on the Medici and their influence on Florence. Be sure to take their guided tour ( no extra charge). Our tour guide ,Jamie , was a wealth of knowledge on all the collections. She was enthusiastic and really made the museum so much more enjoyable. Definitely recommend you visit, it helps put the city 's history in perspective and is not so crowded that you feel your on the subway.

Really cool museum. It’s pretty small so you can get through in about 30 mins and definitely worth the visit. It is a relatively new museum which is interesting since the majority of the artifacts are originals. 100% would recommend it for anyone who enjoys history and wants some background on Florence.
