β β β β β Small market area under the typical arches you find in Florence's architecture. The main point of interest is the Boar statue. They close of the area and do private events in the evening

β β β β β Itβs fun to watch people rub the snout of the boar sitting imperiously at the front of the Mercato del Porcellino (well, it even has a market named after it!), then put a coin in its mouth and watch it slide down into the trough below. But as far as the market is concerned, donβt bother getting anything from here. Leather goods are mass-produced and most likely either faux leather or the cheapest grade of leather while the souvenirs were more expensive here as well.

β β β β β It is a well known market in the center of Centro Storico. You will find the fountain of the Porcellino there and some food stands. Try the lampredotto- a sandwich with beef stomach. Or skip over and check the porchetta place just on the corner. You can buy random stuff like scarfs here.

β β β β β A much more smaller outdoor market with less vendors selling leather goods in comparison to Mercato San Lorenzo. Prices here are a little higher, too, maybe itβs the quality here is better.
