In the second half of the nineteenth century, the square was redesigned when Florence became the capital of a reunited Italy, albeit briefly. Nowadays, it's still a vibrant meeting place for locals and tourists alike.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent food and delicious beer and spritz. Ideally located right on the square. It is pricy if you are looking for something cheaper it is probably best to wander further from the main attractions.
