β β β β β The church is beautiful outside and in. Finding the door was a bit confusing - the door you'll probably come across first is actually a ticket office (not for the church, which is free) and you have to go to the other side to find the entrance. The statues outside were all gifted by different guilds and most of them were originally in bronze. Inside, the guilds also contributed to the decorations, each commissioning a painting of their particular saint. The central piece (though it's off to one side) is a tabernacle which was built to house an image of the Virgin Mary which is said to have miraculous powers.

β β β β β We were lucky to find this place from another top view of the city. The second and third floor consists of a museum where there are some amazing statues. Unfortunately this is not always open to the public, and is best to enquire within this church.

β β β β β The museum is only open Saturday and Monday, but the church is always open. It is small but really cool. Not worth seeing unless you are close to it, but it's in the center and it's free to go in. The place is really pretty and tends to be filled with people inside so beware.

β β β β β This beautiful church was originally planned as a grain market in 1337. It's beautiful inside and outside, where we can find copies of statues made by famous artists like Donatello and Brunelleschi, among others. The originals are in museums.

β β β β β A great place to spend an hour or two. It's free and the church has beautiful artwork and architecture. There is an upstairs area with a museum of statues which also has views of the Florentine rooftops

β β β β β An incredible discovery for me, first time in Firenze I didn't know it existed but now I followed an advice and I didn't regret it, the views from the upper floors are amazing and you get to enjoy some pretty cool sculptures from Donatello, Verrocchio and Ghiberti

β β β β β It's small, but well worth the 4β¬ to enter. It's a quiet church/museum, which means you have all the time and space you want to observe details of the church and statues. You can also get really up close to the statues in the museum, which allowed me to notice all the finer details I missed before). I recommend going in with Rick Steves' audio guide loaded on your phone to give your visit more meaning.
Note that it's only open at very specific times on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
