The restaurant is frequented by a large percentage of locals (always a great sign) and most likely Pisa visitors returning customers due to its quality and optimal position on Via Santa Maria. This restaurant was simply exceptional from the perspective of Menu, Staff, Service and Price. The owner is an exceptional, friendly and helpful personality. My wife and I live in Roma and IL Peperoncino rates as one of our favorite restaurant experiences among a very competitive field.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very charming restaurant with motivated service staff and a veeery polite and funny chef. The menue is full of great tuscan meals and they are aall delicious (what we ate and what we saw on the other tables also looked very delicious)!!! 10/10 - perfect midday break!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderfully welcoming, delicious food and great value in amongst the various tourist trap restaurants that surround it. We ended up eating there twice in our 3 days in Pisa, the owner is so friendly, joking with our kids and made us feel very welcome. Antipasti, pasta and pizza is all great, and the desserts are amazing! This restaurant is top of the list of the things we'd come back to Pisa for.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ate here on our last night in Pisa. It was a little chilly but we enjoyed being outside anyway. The waiter was lovely he seemed to be tired after the easter weekend but still served us and was respectful. Food was tasty traditional Italian food. We ordered Limoncello at the end of the meal and he gave us an extra serving! Very nice man

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It sometimes still happens that you are so positively surprised... visiting Pisa and searching for a restaurant in a touristic area sets certain expectations. So we kind of dropped here as there was a free table. Best decision of the day. All the reviews here of the passionate owner/cook are true. Next to this the food was also very good and we enjoyed everything. So when you are around this place will not disappoint you.
