The cave is located in the upper part of the Greek theater, the source is located in the center of the rocky wall and was decorated with statues of nymphs. The water came from the Greek aqueduct of Galemi, still today visitors come to cool off at the source after having seen the Greek theater.

Just above the Greek theater I suggest you visit this cavity where water flows. The view of the theater and the sea in the background is also pleasant.

Teren nad amfiteatrem greckim obfituje w groty wykute jeszcze w czasach antycznych.
The area above the Greek amphitheater is full of caves carved in ancient times. This one is distinguished by the fact that it is also the mouth of the stream brought here. It is believed that this was a way to bring water to the arena, making it possible to play sea battles

Magnifico, davvero magnifico.
It is an artificial cave dug into the rock from whose bottom wall flows the water of two aqueducts and which is then collected in a tank. Some say it was the "Mouseion", an environment dedicated to the Muses which in the Hellenistic world was one of the meeting places for scholars. But what's amazing is not so much the cave itself as the infrastructure that brings the water to us. The main adductor is in fact the famous "Galermi Aqueduct", an incredible masterpiece of hydraulic engineering built in 480 BC. at the behest of the tyrant Gelone. A tunnel dug into the rocks of the slopes of the Anapo River, almost 40 km long. Magnificent, truly magnificent.
