★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First, they had no record of our booking! Made to wait 20 minutes past our start time. Told to sit and wait with a group party, when I insisted we had booked through Acampora Travel for a private tour, the boss, who looked like a young Mafioso reluctantly agreed to phone. After lots of shouting he just gestured us to get on one of the gondolas, with an old decripit gondolier with long grey greasy hair, with a mask totally covering his face. Completely unnecessary! He said nothing on the tour. Took us up a back alley on a square route, out into to Grand Canal where he had a shouted conversation with a bloke in a water taxi, before heading straight back. 28 minutes! My wife who had been looking forward so much to this experience was totally dismayed and let down!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was expensive, but going with a group of friends made it reasonably priced. Even with that cost, it's one of those things you can't pass up. Provided some incredible views and memories of the city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our Gondola ride was very good. We were not overpiced with hidden extras. It is expensive for 30 minutes but a must do in Venice. We went along the Grand Canal and other areas. To improve the service you could give more historical knowledge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrived on time for our pre-reserved Gondola ride. The directions are not the best which made it stressful trying to find the location. We checked in and were asked to come back in 20 minutes. So we waited for 20 minutes and then we boarded our Gondola. The boat was nice and the Gondalier was personable however we did not get the full 30 minutes which is what we paid for. I went through Viator to make sure we got the value but that did not happen. We basically got 19 minutes, but Paid for 30 minutes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everywhere I read online that 80€ would yield 40 minutes but they quoted only 30. However the gondolier said he could work in 40. He didn’t. He wasn’t as knowledgeable as we hoped but he did well enough to answer most questions. Then he parked his gondola in a spot awkward to get out of.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Five stars for the atmosphere. But you have to watch for the agreed time, they will cut it shorter. In general worth the experience and they will provide you nice historical tour. Try to bargain the prices and you might get better rate. The condition of the Gondolas are really good and they are very comfortable. Very fun for the kids and you will feel excited if they take you out to the main channels. Very romantic and authentic. It is really reflect the theme of the city and give you depth view.
