Florence Tours - Enjoy Biking

The guide helped us to get some tickets for the terrasses of the cathedral. She was so helpful when everything was so complicated because of the Covid measures. Go see her you won't be disappointed!

My familiy booked the tour "About Medici: Walk, talk, and eat" on the 4th of May with Alberto. The beginning of the tour was nice: we learned the Medici Palace, also the Strozzi Palace. The cafe, where we then were supposed to taste the traditional food, did not know that the tour was scheduled. The food served was delicious but the guide did not know what cheese we were eating and the differences between the sorts of salami were explained as follows: "this is salami with pepper, this is without". No interesting or special facts about Florence, its cuisine, the Medici or their history were told while eating (the brochure about the tour suggested the opposite). In fact the guide enjoyed the meal and wanted guests from the US to tell him more about their traditions. We were told some general information about the Medici upon our request. Further we walked to eat the ice-cream with several stops on our way where we learned some interesting information about Florence (the history of its name, the very brief history of Duomo (we were told that Duomo was built in 60 years, which was of course a mistake), the history of the colomns we met, several words about the style of the palaces we met, the brief history of the Vecchio bridge). That was the most interesting and informative part of the tour even though the stories told could clearly benefit from more in-depth insights and precise facts. The guide was friendly, not stressed and, I am sure, he knew a lot. Still, my impression was, he was not motivated to share his knowledge about Florence with us. I did not feel that I am guided by a professional. Although this tour has some merits, I do not really recommend this tour further.

I had two tours with the same guide, Elisabeta, and she was beyond wonderful! She's knowledgeable and funny, and she keeps you enthralled from beginning to end. There's no boredom, no questions unanswered...she is perfect! I did the Medici tour and the Accademia tour and I'm sure glad I did. Had I just been wondering on my own Florence wouldn't have been so complete!

I and my friends loved the bike tour by night offered by Florence Tours Enjoy Biking!!! The city was less noisy and less busy so we could ride easily through the streets. Also, our guide Iulia, gave us plenty of information, not annoying at all and explained it with professionalism. We found out a lot about the secrets and the hidden of the amazing Florence. We booked the Academia Museum David tour Alberto was our tour guide and did a fantastic tour. He gave us amazing insight into the life and work of Michaelangelo. Alberto brought a great perspective to David and the prisoners. He was very passionate about the art. Would thorough recommend this tour and Alberto.

Though I’m not a big fan of crowded cities, Iulia, our guide, was able to charm me completely with her bike tour of Florence. Her knowledge, enthusiasm and joy can only be contagious. Thanks to our guide, the urge to know more, made me buy a book of the history of Florence and the Medici’s at the end of my trip. Now I see even better what she was meaning and how vibrant the city use to be during the centuries. I came back home and 1 week after I still have in my mind Florence and the incredible, exceptional, amazing tour I had with Iulia, organized by Florence Tours. A huge thanks for all the emotion created!

If you come to Florence, it is best to book a tour with a bike. It was an amazing experience from which we saw the most important attractions in Florence, without walking too much. Our guide Iulia was amazing and passionate about hystory, with a lot of valuable information about Florence hystory and secrets that are hard to find out.
