We were a little disappointed with our tour to Pisa. The gathering area was less than attractive no where to sit or get out of the rain. Tour started late then because of parking issue they walked you to a side street then instead of boarding you from the curb they boarded on the on coming traffic side of the bus which was very unsafe for the small children in the group. Our guide was ok but sounded new and a little unsure at times. When we arrived at Pisa they handed us off to the local guide and she was nice but her English was very broken. No only that she had the dual duty of having to explain everything in English then French which kinda wasted some of our time. We felt we didn’t get to see as much as we should because of it. The driver did a good job the ride was very smooth and comfortable. They pointed us to the area we could get a taxi and we made it home safe.

At first the experience was pretty bad because the AC was broken on the bus on the ride to Pisa. The actual tour itself was cool and our guide was very educated. Then they fixed the AC on the bus ride home which made everything much better. Overall I think it was a decent experience

DO NOT BOOK! This was a terrible experience with the staff in Florence. We showed up for our skip the line tickets and were sent to four different places and they told us to “stand in line for 5 minutes” to see if a tour guide shows up, if not come back to the office. After going back to the office when “the y’all guy in a blue shirt” didn’t show up, they were not friendly at all and walked us back to the reservation line and just told us to wait here. She brought our vouchers back and just left. Very disappointed. Two people told us we had a guided tour and she just left us with basic door tickets. Yes we did not have to stand in line as long, but could’ve been in 30 minutes sooner if they were friendly or communicated with us.

Great Tours, great guides and great drivers! A must when you find yourself in Florence! Me and my husband did a couple of tours during last May, and everything was absolutely perfect! Thank you CAF Tours & Travel! Hardly recommend it!

I would recommend using this company. Our tour started on time and was well planned. The meeting point was very easy to find. The guides are funny and very knowledgeable. The coach has air, but not a lot of leg room and no outlets for electronics, so conserve your phone battery or bring a portable charger. Bring your own water snacks for full day tours, or you can purchase water on the bus for 1 euro.

I don’t typically write negative reviews but I’m thoroughly irritated that we entrusted our time in Florence to several tours with this company. We’re on our honeymoon and the one tour that I was particularly looking forward to was the Chianti Wine Experience which we went on on the 15th of July 2019. The tour requests attendees to be at the bus at 13:00 to depart promptly at 13:15. The guide arrived at 13:35 and didn’t even have the good grace to apologize. The two wine tasting destinations were pleasant but we were rushed through the villages - arriving back earlier than our promised end point despite the late departure! Robbing us of an hour of your time! When I asked if we could stay for a quick drink at the final village the guide refused - when I pointed out we’d return early and left late and thus should have a bit more time (and that she hadn’t apologized) she became rather rude. Telling me to ‘go write a complaint’. She did eventually apologize on the bus - although blamed the company saying they’d engaged her services at the last minute and that’s why she was late. If it hadn’t been my honeymoon and something I’d been looking forward to for months - and she’d been the least bit genuinely apologetic I wouldn’t have felt the need to write this. I slept on it but still feel incredibly let down - further compounded by the fact that despite being advertised as an English tour there were Spanish folk and everything was repeated in Spanish (felt incredibly sorry for them too as I doubt they were told they were going on a primarily English tour) which was very disruptive in the wine tasting presentations. Furthermore, something I’ve never seen happen elsewhere - the guide was drinking. To prove this wasn’t a one off for the company my husband and I went on the Walking Tour of Florence the day before where the guide was ALSO late and ALSO didn’t apologize. It only included the briefest of explanations of places we visited (only outside with one free church despite the fact it made it sound like you visited the Duomo) ALSO ended early and was a real disappointment. The only tour that had any value with CAF was visiting the David. I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for your tours of Florence. I will also be writing to Flight Centre and CITI who we recommended and booked through to let them know of our extremely poor experience with CAF.

In February 2020 i was in Florence with my wife and we visited the area of Chianti, we chose this tour of Caf Tour & Travel. It was fabolous, we travelled with the bus, very confortable and very clean. The driver was very kind and the our guide was very prepared and nice. We visited Greve in Chianti, a fabolous little town, and we did wine tasting in two winery. The wine was very good, at the end of the tasting we bought some bottles of wine and oliva oil so we continue to taste when come back in our home. We suggest this tour, next time when we'll come back in Florence we want to do a tour of Pisa - Lucca and Siena - San Gimignano, thank you very much to the Caf for your professionalism and kindness, see you soon.
