★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely amazing food...perfectly cooked meats on an open fire. Top service and top ingredients! The wine selection was perfectly matched by a Lazio Syrah from Sesto 21. Best kept secret. The "casale" type building in the location in Salaria section of Rome was enchanting. I would not pass a meal at this restaurant.... unforgettable! One of my top 10 favorites in the world.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to love this place and frequented it quite a lot during my exchange programme in Rome. Exquisite dishes and admirable atmosphere. Hands down, best grilled lamb I've ever had. Maybe it was their extensive wine list and charming cellars, maybe the lovely gardens for al fresco dining, but visiting this place is one of my most vivid memories of Italy - laden with flavours, aromas and sights hard to forget. Add to that expert service and you get something worth going back to Italy for. Well, not only that, of course. Italy is such an enchanting country that you can never get enough of all its allure and Mediterranean flair. I do miss it all.
