A	Alessia Santangelo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ siamo una comitiva di 4 pellegrini, abbiamo alloggiato presso l'eremo in data 24 maggio, e abbiamo avuto la fortuna di essere accolti dagli ospitaleri Gianni e Antonio, è stato come essere a casa, a parte la cucina, per quanto riguarda la cucina potrei parlare di ristorante! :D luogo ricco di pace, è stato un peccato andare via!! grazie ancora!!! La cerimonia della lavanda dei piedi la sera del nostro arrivo, rimanda a tradizioni giudaico/cristiane che fanno dell'accoglienza una sacralità ormai purtroppo, e sottolineo purtroppo perduta. Luogo in cui la spiritualità aleggia e pervade il Pellegrino che vi si ferma. Masterfully managed by the Confraternity of Santiago de Compostela. Clean, tidy. E	Edmund Mart on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Percorrendo una strada sterrata piena di ciottoli, si incontra il monastero benedettino di San Pietro in Vigneto. L’abbazia, situata lungo la via municipale che nel tredicesimo secolo collega Assisi a Gubbio, appariva più una fortificazione che un edificio religioso. Costruita dai benedettini con materiali recuperati dalle rovine di un tempio pagano dedicato a Marte Ciprio, era un rifugio perfetto per i pellegrini che, stremati dal cammino e dalla fame, la scorgevano da fondo valle e vi trovavano l’accoglienza dei religiosi di Montelabate. La chiesina, che all’interno conserva affreschi del quindicesimo secolo, si confonde totalmente con le altre strutture del complesso restaurato negli anni Novanta. Per oltre due secoli l’enorme struttura venne abitata da un solo monaco, fino all’annessione alla Mensa capitolare dei canonici di Gubbio avvenuta nel 1463. Anche oggi San Pietro in Vigneto è abitato. Negli ultimi anni, l'eremo è stato recuperato e rilanciato dell’eremita padre Basilio Martin, che ha offerto a lungo la sua assistenza spirituale ai pellegrini in sosta di preghiera. Going along a dirt road full of pebbles, you come to the Benedictine monastery of San Pietro in Vigneto. The abbey, located along the municipal road that connects Assisi to Gubbio in the thirteenth century, looked more like a fortification than a religious building. B	Bärbel Gasteiger on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Eremo di San Pietro ist ein Kloster am Franziskusweg. Es gibt die Möglichkeit eines Schlafplatzes im Schlafsaal und Kochmöglichkeit zur Selbstverpflegung. Man erhält Trinkwassernachschub für den Pilgerweg und bekommt auch Kaffee und ein Gläschen Rotwein. Mein Mann mit seinen Freunden haben dort auf dem Franziskusweg von Gubbio nach Valfabbrica eine Pause eingelegt und sich sehr über den Kaffee gefreut. Auch wenn Google von Gubbio eine Fahrstraße für Autos vorgibt, entspricht das nicht der Realität. Es handelt sich dabei nach halber Strecke nur noch um einen schmalen unbefestigten Schotterweg der nicht befahrbar für den normalen Straßenverkehr ist. Sollten Sie vorhaben den Franziskusweg zu gehen, versuchen Sie dort einen Schlafplatz zu bekommen. The Eremo di San Pietro is a monastery on the Franciscan Way. There is the possibility of sleeping in a dormitory and cooking facilities for self-catering. You get drinking water supplies for the pilgrimage route and you also get coffee and a glass of red wine. My husband and his friends stopped there on the Franciscan Way from Gubbio to Valfabbrica and were very happy for the coffee. Even if Google specifies a route for cars from Gubbio, this does not correspond to reality. Halfway there is only a narrow unpaved gravel road that is not passable for normal road traffic. If you plan to walk the Franziskusweg, try to get a place to sleep there.

Un grazie speciale agli ospitaleri che ci hanno accolto come vecchi amici. Una sosta nella via di San Francesco che da un senso a tutto il cammino! What can I say ... we simply left our hearts! Il posto è meraviglioso, la struttura è ben tenuta, e l'accoglienza dei pellegrini - gestita dai bravissimi volontari della Confraternita di San Giacomo di Compostela - è stata un'esperienza ancora più bella e straordinaria. Sapevamo che ci stavano aspettando, ma non ci aspettavamo di essere accolti con tale cura e gentilezza (hanno fatto a tutti la lavanda dei piedi e servito la colazione il mattino dopo alle 5.00! per permetterci di ripartire molto presto per Assisi.) On a pilgrimage from the Sanctuary of La Verna to Assisi along the Way of St. Francis, we stopped at the Hermitage in August: it was, among all, the most beautiful stop and also one of the "strong" and unforgettable moments. The place is wonderful, the structure is well maintained, and the hospitality of the pilgrims - run by the excellent volunteers of the Confraternity of St. James of Compostela - was an even more beautiful and extraordinary experience. We knew they were waiting for us, but we did not expect to be greeted with such care and kindness (they did all the washing of the feet and served breakfast the next morning at 5.00 am to allow us to leave very soon for Assisi.)
