City Sightseeing

Must have a printer for the voucher. They can take your money and give you an app, but still requires a printer. The directions say to go to Florence Visitors Center but that is a waste of time. They can take at the bus. And getting on the bus is chaos. No polite line, just a messy, confusing heard where tourists can demonstrate that they are pushy and rude.

DO NOT BOOK. Seriously. They WILL NOT take responsibility for a bad experience. NO REFUND FOR THE WORSE TOUR EVER. COMPLETE WASTE OF 53EUROS. I cannot begin to explain our group's frustration with our experience at the Vatican. We booked through City Sightseeing because it was a quick access into the Vatican and was described as a 3hour tour. Our Vatican tour guide was literally the WORST tour guide I have ever met. From the beginning, several people from our group mentioned to her that we were unable to hear her. The earpiece and devices worked fine, but the guide was not speaking into her microphone correctly. More people eventually got frustrated and mentioned the issue AGAIN. There were about 7 people that brought up the issue to her and she blew us off. She said that it was the device and not her. Eventually, she held the microphone close to her mouth and we were able to hear some. Our whole group was livid and eventually some people even left the group to do their own thing. The tour guide walked us in and took us directly up some stairs- pretty sure we skipped a whole 1st part of the tour. She talked to a guard that was standing at the stairwell and from what I understood in Italian- she was begging him to let us go upstairs to skip the first floor. TRASH. Then, she was continuously walking fast and saying "stay close to me" while wandering off quickly and losing most of the group. The tour guide not only had useless info to share, but also didn't let us stop at several places we requested to take a moment and soak it in, or just take a quick picture. The tour ended up being 1.5 hours; NOT 3 hours as described. One of my friends got left behind and took a wrong turn- she didn't even get to enter the Basilica. The tour guide was SO TERRIBLE that she didn't even introduce herself. After talking w/several group members- NO ONE KNEW HER NAME. I took pictures of the guide and we immediately went to the Vatican City Sightseeing office. When we got to the office, we explained everything to the customer service rep. She seemed apologetic and said "this has never happened before." She gave us contact info for the company and instructed us to email regarding our experience. We did that the next day and included photos of the tour guide, photos showing proof that our tour was only 1.5 hours, and a detailed explanation of how terrible the tour was. All in all it took FOUR ATTEMPTS and A MONTH to hear back from anyone. We re-sent emails 3 times and finally heard from someone that orks for "Sightseeing Experience." They said that "UNFORTUNATELY, SINCE THE TOUR HAS ACTUALLY BEEN EXPERIENCED, A REFUND IS NOT POSSIBLE." They forwarded our opinion and said that they appreciated feedback. USELESS. We saw other groups having a great experience with their tour guide. Take your chances with another company and NOT THIS ONE. An audioguide would have been 100X better. WE DIDN'T LEARN ONE THING.

Zero Stars, absolute waste of money. Prepare to do a lot of waiting instead of sight seeing, the buses are overcrowded and very infrequent despite what their schedule says. Florence is a city to walk around with a concentrated area of attractions, the bus simply does a loop around the city. Save your money and just walk. Also if there is any traffic prepare to jump off the bus because it can be an easy half hour between stops covering very little ground.

The WORST!!! Please do yourself a favour, do not use this company services. They are rude! Got 2 stars just because they refund me!

Enjoyed our day out with the City-Seeing bus tour around Florence. The hop on, hop off is great for getting a chance to explore the places around the city. Priced at €23 per adult, I felt it was worth the money as you had a whole day pass that took you to all the places you really wanted to see as a tourist. The buses were clean and tidy, and the head phones for the English commentary were all working properly. Staff were friendly and very helpful!

Never ever again, would rather use and pay for taxi. Waited for 2 hours on stop 5 for Red line which never came. When called customer service they simply said it is not going anymore, no further explanation. We waited from 4:20 until 6:20 which is insane. Those 2 hours could have been used so much better than roasting in the street waiting for tourist bus that just stopped going with no explanation or further information. Terrible service that pretty much ruined our day in Florence.

Had the absolute worst experience on the bus. It was late, stops had changed position and weren’t updated, they had issues reading my ticket, i spent 50 minutes waiting to get it sorted, and refused to give me a refund. Extremely disappointed in this service. Waste of money and bad service. Would not recommend.

Rome is a beautiful city with a mix of modernity and history. History invades everywhere. I definitely recommend a visit for a least a week to get to see more details. Even though, you will definitely scratch only the surface of such beautiful and ancient city.
