Poco appariscente dall'esterno a parte il colonnato che si protende sulla strada (rifacimento ottocentesco di tipo neoclassico che nulla ha a che fare con la chiesa romanica originale). All'interno una statua della madonna con una corona posta da San Carlo Borromeo. Vale una visita se vi trovate da quelle parti ed amate la storia e l'architettura sacra. Ancient church (Eleventh century) in the center of Milan. A little inconspicuous from the outside except for the colonnade that juts out onto the street (nineteenth-century neoclassical makeover that has nothing to do with the original Romanesque church). Inside a statue of the Madonna with a crown placed by San Carlo Borromeo. It is worth a visit if you are there and you love sacred history and architecture.
R	Rod Piz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L'origine è antichissima (XI secolo) ma la chiesa odierna è frutto di pesanti rifacimenti sei e ottocenteschi. Facciata dominata dal pronao esastile d'ordine ionico. All'interno statue e dipinti caratterizzano le cappelle laterali. La volta a botte è affrescata ma meriterebbe un restauro. The origin is very ancient (11th century) but the present church is the result of heavy 6th and 19th century renovations. Façade dominated by the hexastyle pronaos of the Ionic order. Inside, statues and paintings characterize the side chapels. The barrel vault is frescoed but deserves a restoration.
A	Antonio Vergallo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ San Tommaso in Terramara è una chiesa molto antica ed è situata in via Broletto, nel centro storico della città. Le prime notizie della chiesa si hanno già dall' XI secolo in cui appare nell'elenco delle parrocchie del sestiere di Porta Comasina. Della chiesa originaria non rimane nulla e la struttura odierna è un misto tra interventi seicenteschi e neoclassici. La facciata in pietra calcare fu costruita tra il 1825 e il 1827 e rappresenta una delle possibili tipologie di chiese neoclassiche. La chiesa si presenta all'interno con una pianta longitudinale ad un un'unica navata che si conclude sull'abside semicircolare che contiene un altare neoclassico risalente al 1779. Tra le varie pale d'altare nella chiesa si segnala la Gloria di San Carlo Borromeo attribuito a Giulio Cesare Procaccini. Molto bella la Statua della Vergine, situata nella prima cappella a destra, che originariamente era in San Nazaro in Pietrasanta e fu trasferita qui dopo la demolizione di quella chiesa con una grande processione la notte del 15 dicembre 1887. E' una chiesetta carina ma sembra un po trascurata ed avrebbe bisogno di qualche restauro. San Tommaso in Terramara is a very old church and is located in via Broletto, in the historical center of the city. The first news of the church is already from the eleventh century in which it appears in the list of parishes in the Porta Comasina district. Nothing remains of the original church and today's structure is a mixture of seventeenth-century and neoclassical interventions. The limestone facade was built between 1825 and 1827 and is one of the possible types of neoclassical churches. The church has a longitudinal plan with a single nave that ends on the semicircular apse that contains a neoclassical altar dating back to 1779. Among the various altarpieces in the church we note the Gloria of San Carlo Borromeo attributed to Giulio Cesare Procaccini. Very beautiful the statue of the Virgin, located in the first chapel on the right, which was originally in San Nazaro in Pietrasanta and was moved here after the demolition of that church with a large procession on the night of December 15, 1887. It is a nice church but it seems a little neglected and would need some restoration.
P	Pered Betel (Peredbetel) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piccola e semplice, di antica edificazione e ritoccata nel corso dei secoli è un'oasi in pieno centro Milano a pochi passi dal maestoso Duomo; quando si entra ci si trova immediatamente immersi in un silenzio "pieno" e l'ambiente poco luminoso e semplice porta automaticamente al raccoglimento e all'incontro con Dio. Notevole il simulacro ligneo del tardo medioevo/primo rinascimento di Maria e Gesù sull'altare maggiore e le numerose reliquie di santi martiri nell'altare minore alla sinistra, particolare anche la facciata che con il suo colonnato ricorda i templi romani. Da gustare anche in una breve pausa di passaggio. Small and simple, of ancient construction and retouched over the centuries, it is an oasis in the heart of Milan, a few steps from the majestic Duomo; when you enter, you are immediately immersed in a "full" silence and the dim and simple environment automatically leads to meditation and an encounter with God. The wooden simulacrum of the late Middle Ages / early Renaissance of Mary and Jesus on the high altar and the numerous relics of martyr saints in the minor altar on the left are noteworthy, and the façade with its colonnade reminds us of Roman temples. Also to be enjoyed in a short break in transit.
