La pala sull'altare maggiore raffigura una pietà che insieme a un Cristo ligneo di oltre 2 metri nella cappella sulla destra entrando, "crocifisso senza croce", la contraddistingue. La mia foto mostra un'icona della messa in antico rito latino che si celebra ogni domenica verso le 8:30, molto suggestiva se sei credente soprattutto (o comunque..) It is a beautiful church in the center of Milan, Cairoli area. Intimate. The altarpiece on the main altar depicts a piety which, together with a wooden Christ of over 2 meters in the chapel on the right as you enter, "crucified without a cross", distinguishes it. My photo shows an icon of the mass in the ancient Latin rite that is celebrated every Sunday around 8:30, very suggestive if you are a believer above all (or anyway ..)

Un ambiente raccolto ed idoneo al raccoglimento, facilmente raggiungibile a piedi e coi mezzi, a pochi passi dal Centro, poco distante da piazza Cairoli e dal Castello Sforzesco. Well preserved works of art. A lively and active church. An intimate and suitable environment for recollection, easily reachable on foot and by public transport, a few steps from the center, not far from Piazza Cairoli and the Sforzesco Castle.

Costruita già negli ultimi anni del 1400 è stata più volte riammodernata, sorge nelle vicinanze della metropolitana Cairoli, quasi frontalmente al teatro dal verme. Raccolta ma affascinante anche perché è impreziosita da opere d'arte di pregio. Per apprezzare maggiormente il valore artistico bisogna rivolgere lo sguardo verso il soffitto che è finemente decorato. Vale la pena entrare anche solo per un momento di tranquillità visto la frenesia che c'è in questa zona di Milano. Non è facilmente individuabile anche a causa del porticato che oscura la facciata principale ma avvicinandosi ci si rende conto che ci si avvicina ad una chiesa. Small but beautiful church. Built already in the last years of the 1400s, it has been modernized several times, it is located near the Cairoli metro, almost in front of the worm theater. Collected but fascinating also because it is embellished with valuable works of art. To appreciate the artistic value more, you have to look towards the ceiling which is finely decorated. It is worth entering even for a moment of tranquility given the frenzy that is in this area of Milan. It is not easily identifiable also because of the portico that obscures the main facade but approaching it you realize that you are approaching a church.
M	Milanoclik di Davide Gasparinetti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa di Santa Maria della Consolazione è situata in Piazza Cairoli, rimane però un po’ nascosta trovandosi nella parte chiusa di via San Giovanni sul Muro di fronte al Teatro Dal Verme. Fu costruita nel 1471 per volontà di Galeazzo Maria Sforza, conosciuta anche come Santa Maria al Castello, la chiesa è una delle poche costruzioni religiose esistenti nei pressi del maniero sforzesco, che abbia resistito nei secoli al piccone demolitore. Al suo interno alcuni interessanti capolavori artistici, tra cui una magnifica pala d'altare Martirio di Sant'Andrea apostolo del 1604 del Talpino (a destra) e un Crocifisso del Nuvolone (a destraa), il Presepio con i Santi di Gaudenzio Ferrari (a sinistra) e gli Apostoli del Procaccini sulle pareti in alto. It was built in 1471 by the will of Galeazzo Maria Sforza, also known as Santa Maria al Castello, the church is one of the few existing religious buildings near the Sforza manor, which has resisted the demolition pickaxe over the centuries. Inside there are some interesting artistic masterpieces, including a magnificent altarpiece Martirio di Sant'Andrea apostolo from 1604 by Talpino (right) and a Crucifix by Nuvolone (righta), the Nativity scene with the Saints by Gaudenzio Ferrari (a left) and Procaccini's Apostles on the walls above. j	j stanton Good on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most only visit the adjacent bone crypt with its 6000 skeletons on the ceiling and walls. But this church also is worth a visit especially to the relics in the back right.of the apse. Run by Capuchin friars.
E	Eduardo Schiavon on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I attended Mass in the Traditional Ambrosian rite and it was very reverend, everyone received communion on the tongue and kneeling and the ambrosian chants were beautiful!
