★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of nice vintage books and maps but both times I went the owner rushed me in their downstairs area which he had to close off after 10 minutes and wouldn't allow me to browse unattended. Takes a little longer than 10 minutes to pick a 60+ euro map...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family and I had a very bad experience in this bookshop today. We travel a lot and my kids love books, they can spend hours reading before we choose the most beloved books and "adopt" them. Obviously in this bookshop they don't like reading children, you have to enter, quickly buy and leave as soon as possible. If you decide that breastfeeding your baby before buying books it is wrong choice again. You will be told it is not a library and looked angrily at. I have never left a bookshop with such a sad feeling. I have never encountered such a non child-friendly space. Sad, very sad and what a shame!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Someone walks up from the downstairs.. I am the only customer in store. when I attempt to descend past the bestseller rubbish and knickknacks, I am told "it is the antique section and is (arbitrarily) closed right now." (?? It's 4pm on a Thursday...)
That is precisely why I came here. Waste of time and space. Just lost the sale of a serious bibliophile...
If you're desperate, perhaps. Otherwise don't bother. Even The airport has a better selection.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a small English book store and has a cute collection. If you find of reading you will find some good picks. However the range is not deep and we struggled a bit with the cataloging of the books.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are rare books, photos, post marks and many handmade products. Place design is good, shop windows are attention grabbing. I really wanted to buy an old book but I could not find a known one for myself. Old poem books are awesome. It would be better, if there were more old novels. Also, categorization is needed for the books.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice-to-have for an international city like Milan. Based in the pedestrian area from the castle to the Duomo; great support from the staff incl. the quick processing of bookings; old wooden shelves which give a bit of a “Notting Hill” flavor.
