β β β β β Il signor Aldo ci ha subito accolto e spiegato storia, usi e costumi di epoche lontane, dandoci spiegazioni esaustive anche sul modo di costruire nelle rocce. Svolge il suo lavoro con passione e lo ringraziamo. L'ambiente Γ© quasi vuoto, ma lui Γ© stato in grado di ricostruire ciΓ² che c'era e che strato dopo strato si Γ© perduto.
Da non perdere!
Mr. Aldo immediately welcomed us and explained the history, uses and customs of distant times, giving us comprehensive explanations also on the way to build in the rocks. He does his job with passion and we thank him. The environment is almost empty, but he was able to reconstruct what was there and what layer by layer was lost.
Not to be missed!

β β β β β Ho visitato questa chiesa con la mia famiglia e siamo rimasti tutti rapiti dalle parole del signor Aldo, che con grande naturalezza e semplicitΓ ci ha raccontato aneddoti sulla chiesa e sulla storia in generale di Matera, in particolar modo spiegandoci il concetto di "bene comune", molto caro ai materani. Se ogni attrazione turistica fosse accompagnata da qualcuno come Aldo, pronto a raccontare e spiegare con passione, ogni viaggio sarebbe bello il doppio.
I visited this church with my family and we were all captivated by the words of Mr. Aldo, who with great naturalness and simplicity told us anecdotes about the church and the history of Matera in general, especially explaining the concept of "common good" , very dear to Matera. If every tourist attraction were accompanied by someone like Aldo, ready to tell and explain with passion, every trip would be twice as good.

β β β β β La struttura di per sΓ© Γ¨ molto semplice, un po' spoglia ma comunque interessante per alcuni aneddoti che vi vengono spiegati dal "custode" di questa chiesa rupestre.
Ma Γ¨ proprio quest'ultimo l'arma in piΓΉ di questo luogo: Aldo Adorisio, un gentilissimo signore che ci ha accompagnato durante la visita e spiegato tutto con immensa passione e cultura, non solo riguardo la chiesa specifica, ma su tutta la storia di Matera.
C'Γ¨ infatti una zona all'interno in cui sono mostrati il famoso pane di Matera e i suoi "timbri" che hanno fatto la storia della cittΓ , insieme ad altri cimeli, libri e documenti: quasi un piccolo museo che spazia su vari aspetti dei vecchi Sassi.
Io e la mia ragazza ci siamo fermati piΓΉ che volentieri a chiacchierare con lui, il vero plus di questo posto: siamo stati un'ora e il tutto per un'offerta libera facoltativa.
Consigliatissimo, se stai leggendo questa recensione: sei un grande Aldo!
The structure itself is very simple, a little bare but still interesting for some anecdotes that are explained to you by the "keeper" of this rock church.
But it is precisely the latter that is the extra weapon of this place: Aldo Adorisio, a very kind gentleman who accompanied us during the visit and explained everything with immense passion and culture, not only about the specific church, but about the whole history of Matera.
There is in fact an area inside where the famous Matera bread and its "stamps" that have made the history of the city are shown, along with other relics, books and documents: almost a small museum that covers various aspects of old Sassi.
My girlfriend and I stopped more than willingly to chat with him, the real plus of this place: we stayed an hour and all for an optional free offer.
Highly recommended, if you are reading this review: you are a great Aldo!
