L'edificio sorge dove prima si ergeva un tempio notevolmente antico di cui è possibile visitare i resti con un famoso mosaico dei pesci (quando avete la fortuna di trovarlo aperto un portone prospiciente alla piazza di Pierluigi da Palestrina)
 A Romanesque cathedral of great beauty and historical interest.
The building stands where once stood a remarkably ancient temple of which it is possible to visit the remains with a famous mosaic of fish (when you are lucky enough to find it open a door facing Pierluigi da Palestrina's square)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Cattedrale dedicata a Sant’Agapito, martire a 15 anni sotto l’imperatore Aureliano (probabilmente nel 274 d. C.), è sorta su un edificio romano di cui si vedono alcune strutture nella cripta, nello scavo, visibile nella piazza, e nella facciata.
The Cathedral dedicated to Sant'Agapito, a martyr at the age of 15 under the emperor Aureliano (probably in 274 AD), was built on a Roman building of which some structures can be seen in the crypt, in the excavation, visible in the square, and in the facade.

The cathedral is located in the center of Palestrina, in Romanesque style it is one of the most important churches in the country, very beautiful and well kept.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La cattedrale è collocata al centro della città, in quella che era un tempo l’area del Foro. Da segnalare tra le opere d'arte conservate la bella tela di Girolamo Siciolante da Sermoneta rappresentante la crocifissione di Gesù. Sempre del Sermoneta è anche il tronetto ligneo conservato, vicino l’ingresso in sacrestia.
The cathedral is located in the center of the city, in what was once the area of the Forum. Of note among the works of art preserved is the beautiful canvas by Girolamo Siciolante from Sermoneta representing the crucifixion of Jesus. Also by Sermoneta is the preserved wooden throne, near the entrance to the sacristy.
