Could be 4 stars with the breakfast a 15 minute walk away. We ended up taking a different route each time. The hospitality really made up for it though. Great location and excellent accommodations. No hesitation in booking this place again.

This hotel is a hidden gem. Just a few steps from San Samuele stop on the Grand Canal it is a very convenient walk to all the major sites in Venice, and many amazing, lesser known ones too. Rooms are gorgeous, but no views. It's tucked into a neighbourhood...ask the owner, Marco to tell you about some of the previous owners of the building - you're staying somewhere steeped in history where the likes of Caravaggio have lived. An excellent breakfast, we'll kept and equipped rooms, unique location, friendly (but limited in English) staff and reasonable rates make this an excellent option for a stay. We were here 5 nights and never tired of the hotel nor it's location.

Beware of cheating !!! We booked 3 rooms with this hotel via bucking. They wrote to the hotel in order to clarify what the rooms will be. One of them was important to us. Since it was a birthday present for friends. And there was very little information on their website. But the hotel ignored all our requests with the answers "everything is on the site" and as a "bonus" not just canceled the reservation (as in the previous review), but simply silently transferred it to May next year))))) We saw it quite by accident. What for? Apparently, in order not to pay the cancellation penalty or because they wanted to take revenge on us for allowing us to ask them for something. Not worthy behavior. And what would happen if we came to this hotel? And what kind of attitude and surprises await tourists upon arrival. Think before placing an order with them! My personal recommendation! Do not contact them in any way. If you don't want to get a dose of negativity and ruin your vacation Venice has many excellent, respectful tourists, hotels

Extremly beautiful rooms and lobby! Breakfast could be a lot better though, and address on booking.com was unfortunately wrong.

Most horrible booking experience Don't read the positive reviews for this so-called hotel. Its representatives sit on the exchange and pay for reviews. When we were at the hotel, I heard that their employees make reservations and then write reviews on the bookings. The food is terrible! Everything is cheap, in bags, everything is dry and cold. This is not food, but rubber. Staff arrogant Indoors, dirt and dampness. There is someone else's hair in bed. Stay away from this hotel.

I took my mom on another trip to Europe. She's 80 and wanted at least one more. Lol. We arrived at the hotel a couple hours early and they let us right in to our room. A lot of times hotels don't do that. We were greeted warmly from the start. Everyone here are super nice and we couldn't be happier. Thank you very much for giving my mom and I a wonderful 5night stay. Oh tomorrow the hotel is giving us a complimentary tour of Murano glass. Including water taxi. Thank you very much.

Not easy to find the first time, but lovely to stay in. Service was cool and casual, while the place is decked out in art, so it can seem gaudy, but it's fun. Our room was large and comfortable and there were plenty of snacks to keep us fueled. We didn't spend too much time in the hotel because we wanted to maximize our time in this unique city, but we definitely enjoyed it.

We stayed in a nearby hotel but they were busy for the last night and arranged for us to have a room at the new Ca dell'Arte Palace hotel. Palace it is not. The room was advertised as a 'canal view.' This technically was correct, if you leant well out of the window you could see a canal, a very small one. The room overlooked a small bridge and a dark alleyway. There was no staff at the hotel, they seem to have bought a few rooms and operate everything by remote control. No breakfast just a coffee machine in the hall, no milk. Very hard bed, limited bathroom facilities, cheap soap, shampoo, etc. This is a 3-star room, I am reluctant to use the word hotel as that implies services. We have stayed in many other places in Venice that are much better value for money, better located, and better equipped. Not recommended
