★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Intimate hotel where they treat every guest as special. The lounge and terrace are beautiful, quiet and only open to guests making it even more special. They offer guests some great special services, such as a cooking 'watch and learn' and the option to reserve their beautiful canal side lounge. We did the watch and learn and were treated to an amazing meal with wine pairing for quite a reasonable price. Definitely a fantastic hotel, in a great location away from the throngs of tourists.
Bonus, all of this top notch service and they are not just pet tolerant, but very pet friendly!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our flight was delayed with Ryanair by over 4 hours so I contacted the hotel to arrange for a collection from the airport. In fairness it was fantastic but it came with a hefty price tag of €225 for two people. When we got to the hotel they promised me a welcome drink which we never actually got. When we got to the room it was literally vibrating from the DJ in the bar so they moved us to a slightly quieter room. The next night they provided beautifully packaged ear plugs! Unfortunately they moved us for the third night to another room directly over the bar which meant my son and I could not sleep until 4am this morning. I would never have booked this hotel if I had known they had a resident DJ from 11.30pm to 4.00am every night during the film festival and it should have been bought to my attention at the time of booking. What has added insult to injury is I paid my bill in cash and the lady advised me she could not print a receipt and would email it to me. I have now been charged on my credit card so have been charged twice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible customer service!! We arrived and stayed in our first room the air conditioning went out and flooded part of the room and in doing so our luggage and everything inside got wet. The hotel moved us to another room and never offered to get our wet things laundered and they said we are giving you an upgraded room and it was a down graded room. Then on the last day we ended up missing a pillow that we brought on our trip and they pretty much said too bad so sad. When a hotel does these types of disservice they should offer a discount or some type of offer to make things right. Very dissatisfied!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When we booked the two rooms, I emailed the hotel with some questions. They were very helpful and quick to respond. I appreciate that. When we arrived, they staff were super friendly and helpful. What delighted me was when we wanted to sit out on the patio, didn’t stop us even tho the bar was closed. Instead they accommodated us with our drinks and request. I love when hotels don’t use the word “NO” instead they try to offer service to their guests. Service is very much in the details, and the staff and hotel were very good with the details.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This rating is for the restaurant/breakfast. And it is excellent! Everything we ordered was fantastic: pancakes with fruit and syrup, french toast, eggs Benedict with avocado. Omelette was good but not exceptional. I will say the portions were a bit small, especially for the price. But I would go at least once when in Venice because of how good it is and how hard it can be to find fantastic American breakfast food in Europe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really liked this hotel! It was beautiful during Christmas time. The staff was super friendly, the rooms were beautiful and clean, and you can't beat the location to get to the Basilica and roam other areas! Highly recommend booking the water taxi. It was so fun and convenient! You don't want to drag your luggage across Venice to get to the hotel.
