Albergo Cava dell'isola

Posizione stupenda dell'albergo consigliato da amici di Roma, dove i proprietari, Teresa e Maurizio, ci hanno fatto sentire non ospiti, ma quasi in famiglia. Camere molto spaziose ed accoglienti, arredate con gusto. Colazioni abbondanti, anche con dolci fatti in casa, veramente deliziosi. Infine un ringraziamento al barman Mario che non si è risparmiato in consigli culinari e su cosa visitare ad Ischia peccato che non basta una settimana.

Abbiamo (mia moglie, io ed il nostro labrador Ray) passato una incantevole vacanza quasi come accolti in famiglia! I gestori e tutto il personale sono stati di una gentilezza ed una disponibilità squisita, ben oltre le attese. Ottima la colazione, ed i servizi in genere. La posizione sul mare della struttura permette di usufruire della bella spiaggia sottostante giusto qualche passo oltre la propria stanza. Con una passeggiata si raggiungono agevolmente tutta una serie di locali litoranei; con qualche passo in più si raggiunge Forio con la zona pedonale ed il bel lungomare. Alla prima occasione utile torneremo!!!

Really nice place whit a great terrace where you can enjoy your breakfast with a wonderful wiew on the sea... The staff is very nice and the rooms are so beautiful.

How do I rate this place six stars?? First off worth mentioning is the fact that the time we stayed at Cava Dell'Isola was our Honeymoon, so we'd be understandably critical given the occasion. They didn't disappoint. From the moment we arrived we absolutely loved the place! The entire hotel is well kept, clean (spotless actually) and conveniently located with a beach, restaurant and a nice bar, all within two minutes walk from the hotel. The staff and managers went out of their way to help us in every aspect, even spending time teaching us some Italian (make an effort and the locals will be so much more forthcoming with friendly advice), they booked rental scooters and boats for us and gave us advice about day to day activities. We booked the Superior Double room with sea view, which is an understatement, the view is simply stunning and we could hear the sea from our balcony at night. The location means the beach catches the sun during the day and sunsets in the evening, so beautiful you'll make a point of being in the hotel up on the roof terrace for them! The room came with air-con, daily re-stocked minibar and en-suite bathroom. We wanted to book somewhere that didn't have a swimming pool to force us out to the beach everyday, a wise choice in hindsight as the beach was 30 seconds walk away, had no cover charge (some beaches on Ischia are affiliated with certain hotels, non residents must pay to use), has beautiful waters and there is a large selection of sun loungers, chairs and beach umbrellas for residents to use kept at the hotel. The beach does get extremely hot, so do be sure to have at least the umbrella, the beach is kind of shallow in depth with a high cliff behind it, making it an effective suntrap, at times it was far too hot for this pasty Irishman! The breakfasts varied from day to day and were always delicious and filling. We loved how there was a nice spread on your breakfast table every morning including home baked cakes or pastries, eggs, fresh fruit, salads or cold meats so there was always a nice variety. They didn't mind us taking an extra few items to have during the day either, as a lot of restaurants will close for most of the afternoon and evening, only opening again for dinner at 8 pm. Overall, we cant see ourselves staying anywhere else in Ischia apart from here when we return, it really is that good. We wanted a well located, quiet, affordable and beautiful place to stay and enjoy the amazing Island of Ischia, which they delivered on so well.

The location is extremely underrated! We absolutely loved both the beach and the restaurant (amazing calzone and Salat options for veggies), where as the hotel was nice. Teresa and Mario were both super helpful and forthcoming and we generally enjoyed how simple and laidback it was. The rooms were OK (bright lightning, not super cozy) with high quality bathrooms, but everything else definitely made up for the room being just "ok". We spend most of our time at the beach (lots of young people, good music and nice waves) and might definitely come back. The pool of the hotel is a tiny jaccuzi style hot top, so if you are expecting a resort style offering, maybe pick something else.

A truly wonderful place! If you want a warm welcome in a spectacular place in Ischia, this is the place for you! The place is owned and operated by a wonderful family. They will greet you by your name and make you feel like a VIP during your stay. They are very helpful and go the extra mile for you without any fuss. The place is truly spectacular with multiple levels in the hill that let you enjoy the view of the sea at your (included) breakfast and the sunset at night (one of the advantages of being on Ischia’s west coast). The public beach is just a few steps down and let you mingle with the friendly locals. The rooms are very quiet and let you have a good night sleep. A remarkable hotel at a great price!
