Def the best place to go when in Ischia. I could come here and stay for the whole summer. It’s a family business and they are really nice. The food is also great!

Super fabulous place. Excellent location. I really enjoyed a day here for 15 Euro relaxing by the pool, swimming and snorkeling in the sea followed by one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had at the hotel restaurant.

Beautiful place, best swimming location we found in Ischia so far (the beaches around were packed) the lunch was great, the included dinner and breakfast was ok. Great drinks, a bit hard beds, but other than that it was a very nice place I easily could visit again. It wasn’t very cheap though, but still, I would go again

In English: We were a bit worried before going there as some of the comments were negative about the staff.. but we discovered that the staff is super nice, very professional and we feel like home (the owner as well) Staff can speak english for some! The hotel is quiet even when some guests are coming just for the day at the beach. People respects the environment and others guests (silent!) No kids, no old people as it is difficult with the stairs! All the rooms have sea view and we get the 21 and we were alone! No neighbour! Paradise... We were a bit worried before arriving due to the « demi pension » as we never choose this formula before but the food is excellent and generous. It is a very reasonable price for high quality. We found the paradise! And hope to come back next year! En Français: Avant d’y aller j’avais un peu peur vu les commentaires pas toujours très positifs sur le personnel.. Nous avons passé 5 jours hors du temps, avec un personnel hyper sympa, le patron tout autant, un climat familial. Mon mari est italien mais je ne parle pas un mot. Certains serveurs parlent anglais donc C’etait parfait pour moi. L’hotel est très calme même quand des gens exterieurs viennent pour la journée. Les clients sont respectueux, il n’y a pas d’enfant (difficile d’accès, et pour les personnes âgées aussi). Le staff est très arrangeant pour tout, (le taxi a/r, louer un bateau etc). Chaque chambre a une vue magnifique, peut etre avions nous la plus belle (la 21) car pas de voisins (mais il faut la mériter elle est tout en haut). Nous avions egalement peur de la « demi pension » car n’avions jamais été dans un hotel avec cette formule. Au final, la nourriture est excellente, genereuse et familiale! La vue est à couper le souffle, les piscines naturelles et le lido est exceptionnel! Le rapport qualité/prix est d’une grande rareté! Je crois qu’on a trouvé notre paradis et on reviendra l’an prochain!

Hands down most special, beautiful, unique experience I've ever had. Simply lovely. Bring cash and prepare to hike. Everything wonderful comes with a price.

The place is beautiful. That is the only positive thing I can say about my experience at Scannella. The steps are worth the effort for the view and beautiful location. However, the management is appalling. Rude owner who makes you feel like he doesn’t want you there but will happily take every cent they can. Food incredibly over priced- quality very very low. But unfortunately you are not allowed to bring your own food and therefore have no choice. My advice is get very simple food on the menu ie. bruschette, impepata di cozze. Do not bother with flavourless pasta and frozen and scant fritto misto. Also would advise you bring cash as the card machine almost never works and you’ll waste a lot of precious beach time. Would I go again? Absolutely not. Please go prepared- never again. The only stars I am giving are for the beauty of location.
