★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m from Norway, and have a house 45 minutes outside Florence. In the leather market in Florence its really hard to find a shop where you feel comfortable, and the employees not are «pushing» products at you.
Now I have found this perfect shop, and myself and my wife have bought several jackets from them, and we have also brought friends and business relations to the shop. ALL are perfectly happy, with the service, the kindness and professionalisms of the employees, and the quality they deliver is really outstanding. From the leather they are using, to the quality of the handcrafts.
Last time I bought a Taylor made jacket, I payed even the whole amount of the jacket up front... something you normally don’t. Two weeks later they called me, the jacket was ready, and I picked it up.
Conclusion: I recommend this people, and their shop 100%.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In the jungle of vendor craziness we stumbled into this shop so I could check out a jacket that looked nice. Dani was very helpful in describing the various leathers and materials used, and went out of his way to educate us and help make a good choice without pressure. They make their own jackets, have been in business since 1962, and with a storefront they have a greater interest in support and repeat business. While you might find a similar looking jacket cheaper from street vendors there is no way for us lay-people to know how the quality compares and if you try to go back to a street vendor you are likely out of luck. I bought the jacket, and after touring the Uffizi we ended up going back and getting two more from Dani for our adult children. We are thrilled with them and highly recommend Zip to friends and family.
