Trattoria Osteria Dall'Oste SMN

After a long, hot summer day of visiting Florence, the four of us went to have dinner at this restaurant. The waiters were extremely professional, caring and kind; I was exhausted and I made some mess with the water on the table, they were very understanding and fixed the issue, throughout the whole experience they've been very attentive and at the same time left us breathing-air. Speaking about the food, we all ordered a different menú and I will go in order starting from the most famous one. One menú(meant to be shared by 2 people) consisted of an appetizer, local cold-cuts, cheese and bruschettas, can't tell much about it but I tried one slice and it was good; all was accompanied by a local red wine. The main dish was the Fiorentina, about 1kg of steak. I tried a few slices and it was one of the best steaks I have ever tried in my life! As side dish there were roasted potatoes. My menú consisted of a first dish, a grilled rebay steak and as a side I chose a vegetables salad. For starters, they brought tortellini di patate (Italian potato dumplings) with chianina (a particular breed of cattle) sauce; could be cut as easy as butter and the taste was very impressive and particular. The second dish was a grilled rebay steak, juicy and carefully seasoned I didn't even need to cut it because of how tender the meat was, while the salad was normal, great for switching tastes. I was the only one to order the dessert and... well, the video speaks by itself. It was a chocolate mousse with pistacchio cream and a little sprinkle of crushed almonds. It was a great experience, waiters were great, the atmosphere was amazing as we dined without the usual noise you might find in restaurants. The food was amazing and I am looking forward to dining here again next time I visit Florence! I highly recommend it.

We come to Florence for this. This is the third visit and you can’t go wrong with their superior quality beef here. Rare. 1 kilo! Yum. We’ll be back soon! Side dishes portion is big enough for 2, we ordered extra but finished all because of the great wine we were served. Don’t miss their wine selection. Top! Service is top notch as well. You are not in Florence if you haven’t tried Fiorentina beef in Florence and this is the place!! :))

The environment was friendly, and so was the staff. Between all of them, they spoke a variety of languages, so I'm sure most people can be served without issues or language barriers. The wine was nothing less than perfect, and the steak was immaculate! I was ecstatic to be able to get a good cut of Wagu here, and it was succulent and tender all the way through; cooked to perfection and the sides accompanied the dish perfectly. The tiramisu I had was the best that I've had in country so far, and my request for an express with orange rinds was granted without hesitation. To top it off, as a 'Thank you' gesture, I was presented with a 375ml house bottle of Chianti D.O.C.G. on the way out of the door. Certainly a must to revisit, and a must if you haven't been initially. They certainly are one of the top 101 Steak resturants in the World!! Bravo!! *I apologize for the lack of pictures of the main course. I was hungry, and couldn't help myself from digging-in.

The service is really good, staff were very friendly and helpful, unlike what I read in the reviews (which did make me hesitate should I come to this restaurant or another one with same brand). Yes, the staff would come regularly and asked if we ready to order, but I see it as good gesture, better than being ignore. They did leave a good 3-5mins in between when we said we are not ready to order. We were very happy about the meal we received, although the meat slightly rare than we like, but it was really tasty, the best steak I've ever had. Will return to try the pasta dishes as the next table ordered them, quite big portion with quite a good price.

I asked for steak recommendation and waitress recommended ribeye. It was worst ribeye I tried. With two bones and lots of fat. I asked for medium rare and only middle part was properly cooked. Part on the left was rare. Other dishes were tasty. Also service was good. However I will not visit this place again.

Florentine steak is outstanding in Florence and you should try at any restaurant in this city. Two stars deducted for service. The people serving seemed to be trainees at best with a need to refer to a single more experienced server every time (be it food or wine), and as the more experienced guy was rushed, the service felt lacking. Also when paying at the entrance we waited until the guy finished his chat with his mate who just walked in to talk to him. In summary, great steak but coupled with tourist trap style service that screams 'give us your money and leave'. Since you can get great steak anywhere in Florence I'd try another place next time.

This restaurant is our most favourite and the best restaurant in Florence. Best steaks, pastas, deserts, and all staff who are always efficiently serving us! Especially George who has a sense of humour and the best knowledge of all their different dishes made our four visits (during this trip) to this restaurant delightful. Every time we visited Florence, we tried to explore the different restaurants before, however, we decided to go Dll’Odte at least once a day at this trip because of the their great dishes. Their meat quality is the best and the prices of their dishes are very reasonable. Romario(manager) always welcomed us and double checked our experience at each of our visit. Hopefully we can visit Dall’Oste back soon!

One of the best steak I’ve ever had! This was my first time trying the Florentine steak, the waiter kindly guided us through the menu and recommended all the best! The steak was perfectly cooked, and the vongole pasta was all so amazing! Would definitely recommend if you have the chance. A side note: their portions are very big so keep that in mind. We booked ahead on their website and was able to get a discount as well, super worth it!
