If you're in Florence, you MUST come here! It was so delicious, we came back for dinner the following night and greatly regretted not staying in Florence another night. Our first night's meal consisted of flash fried dough (blew our minds!) and Fried Eggplant Lasagna (wow!). Followed by 2 pasta dishes: Spaghetti with cow cheek & Ravioli with ground beef. BOTH were incredibly delicious. The secondi was a mixed dish with fried zucchini, rabbit, chicken, potatoes AND Cow Brain.... YES FRIED COW BRAIN! We were so stuffed we couldn't eat anymore which is why we returned the next night for the bistecca alla fiorentina and their tiramisu. Incredibly delicious food and the FRIENDLIEST restaurant owners we had met in our entire trip! Ask for Marccio!

Our experience at this restaurant was simply magical. The owner was very welcoming and took time to explain every single detail of the menu. Plus, every meal was prepared with fresh and delicious ingredients. It was so good that we came back two days later.

Listen, here’s the deal. You’re looking for a killer restaurant with classic Tuscan eats... Osteria Del Borgo should be your top choice. You have got to trust me on this one. I went here with my fiancé and it is our favorite dining experience in Florence to date. I’ve never experienced sexual feelings for my food.... that was until Osteria del Borgo. We had the house red, bruschetta, ribollita, spaghetti with sage and guanciale, bistecca fiorentina with rosemary potatoes, tiramisù and limoncello. The ribollita was classically delicious - a staple in Tuscany. Then, per my request, the steak they served me was the size of a small child, and it was cooked to perfection. The owner was proud because they pick their steaks out from a local butcher, and the difference showed in the flavor of the steak. Concerned for my life, they kept coming back to confirm I wasn’t going into a meat coma. Needless to say, I finished the whole damn thing. Next came tiramisu... I nearly took off my pants. The little fat kid in me wanted to rub it all over my face. I kept my composure, though. Paired with the limoncello, the beer soaked lady fingers are not to be missed. My fiancé had the bruschetta and spaghetti. She has since left me for the owner of Osteria del Borgo. I can’t be mad, though. That man is a saint.

Very well fitted and designed restaurant in a good location close to the city centre. Beautifully cooked and presented food at a reasonable price. Desserts were to die for. Service was excellent and waiter had a good understanding of the cooking process. Highly recommended.

This place is wonderful. I had the best buratta dish of my life, followed by a spaghetti with butter, sage, and pig cheek, a few bites of my fiancés bistecca, the worlds best tiramisu, and limoncello. If I die from over eating, I want the world to know it was worth it. The owners were very kind and genuine and the place felt like home! I look forward to coming back and bringing my family.

Recommemdation from our hotel and this is by far one of the best restaurant dining experience which I've had anywhere in the world. We came here for steak Florentine but we got so much more than that in terms of experience and education of what quality food should taste like. All the ingredients from the restaurant is source freshed daily by the owned and is made to order. The restaurant is a hidden gem and is definitely not one of those tourist traps, we absolutely loved the philosophy of the food at this place, I can't even put it into words. I left the restaurant with a full stomach and also a wealth of knowledge for my brain. You must come to this restaurant while in Florence, speak to the owner ask about the food and the ingredients, and spread the knowledge to your friends to help educate them on quality food. The price is extremely reasonable for the exceptional high quality.

We couldn’t get seated at the first restaurant we tried but as luck would have it we found this restaurant or maybe they found us. The owner ensured us we would love our meal and he was right. He helped us understand the menu and wine, literally ensuring that we would have the best experience possible. The steak Florentine was excellent and the pasta was too. The desserts were really well done. The menu is small but there’s an attention to detail that makes this restaurant worth trying.

Great experience at this hidden gem! The owner came over to explain the menu and we became fast friends! We had one a great meal here, the pastas and the Florentine steak we're amazing. The service was very good, and the desserts were excellent. I'd recommend trying it for an authentic Tuscan experience.
