Former terminus of the T1 line for Villa Costanza, today it is extended towards the north. Fantastic frequency, tramway with traffic light priority and excellent interchanges with buses and trains, being the stop in front of the main station: Firenze Santa Maria Novella. The only flaw, frequented by quite infamous people at night

Dalla stazione è possibile andare ovunque: A Scandicci A Careggi e all'Aereoporto.

Good! Certainly the most used tramway station. From here you can take trams of the T1 line or even T2. So the whole tram network can be reached from this stop. You can go north to Careggi or south to Scandicci using the T1. You can also go to the airport using T2. The trams are always excellent and frequent, I have never seen one suffer a delay of more than 1 or 2 minutes; despite that at peak times 7-12 and then from 16-20 the trams are often very full, especially on the T1 line. Being located in front of the station, there are worrying characters; so pay special attention to pickpockets.

Clean and well organized stop with screens showing waiting times. There are also machines to buy tickets with both cash and credit cards. In addition, from this absolutely strategic stop, you can reach all the stops, both on the T1 and T2 lines that go to the airport !!!

The management of the tramway has deteriorated as of the buses, it was much better under the ATAF regime, never skipped rides you are just ashamed you have reduced public transport services from 3 world cities, the most beautiful city in the world, and with the excuse of covid sorry but the people who pay you for the tickets and passes cannot do otherwise An absolute shame

This is a very crowded station since it is in the centre of Florence. We drove from our bed and breakfast in Montecatini Terme to Florence and parked at Parknet parking place, which is next to a Hertz rental agency. Parking is quite cheap here and costs about one euro per whole hour. We bought a tram ticket for 1,50 per person at the Sansovino tram stop and got to this station. I believe this was only a ten to fifteen minute ride. When arriving at this station it was quite crowded, but we went into the shopping area which is in the basement of the station I believe. We visited the bathrooms which were a bit old, but kept quite clean by the lady working there. It cost us one euro per person. We continued on through that tunnel which contains a lot of shops, ranging from clothing, lingerie to electronics. But also there are barber shop and a lot of other shops. At the end we got closer to our destination, but we were able to walk out of the sun which is quite nice. The place is kept quite clean overall and was not really crowded. I think a lot of people just walk above ground to their destination.
