★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were a party of 7. Reservations saved the day. Calling is best to reserve a table. Our server was superb, high attention to detail, and very funny with us Americans. We all enjoyed all the dishes we had. The desserts were very light and fantastic. You won't be disappointed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place! We had steak Fiorentina and tagliatelle alla porcini for mains with some vino della casa rosso. For dessert we had tiramisu and crema caramel. Very good value for money and attentive waiters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I dropped in shortly after 12 while on a short trip to buy Christmas cards from Il Papiro in Florence on Oct 21st on the off-chance they had a table. Lady luck was with me today (it's always best to book, but note they close Wednesday so don't try calling then). The restaurant filled quickly from 12.30 on so the time spent supping perfectly dry gin Martini's mulling over the menu was well spent. I recalled from my first trip to the restaurant on Feb 2020 Trattoria Cammillo is well worth a visit. It's full of locals as well as the welcome return of some discerning tourists. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch accompanied by an excellent Tuscan red - Bulichella's Coldipietrerosse.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All the classic Tuscan dishes perfectly prepared. Famous for their cervello di vitello (fried veal brains/sweetbreads), but do not miss ribolitta, any of the meats alla brace and the mashed potatoes. The menu is huge. If you cannot find something that you like, it is your own fault.
Post script: I am back again for the second time in six months. If you fail to order the puro di patata (mashed potatoes), you either are allergic to potatoes or to butter. Only the mashed potatoes by Wolfgang Puck can rival these. It is like eating cake frosting with your main course.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We read is a very famous restaurant in Firenze. For us the food was ok but not great. Maybe we had high expectations. A bit expensive for what we got. And the lady who made the reservations was a bit unfriendly.

The staff that we encountered were very friendly and polite.
We ordered the lasagna and it was so nice. It arrived in a round dish and the mince almost dissolved in our mouths as it was so tender. The freshly made pasta sheets were excellent too. Overall, it was up there with one of the nicest we’ve eaten. It was the saucy type of lasagna recipe used. We sent our compliments to the kitchen as it was that good.
There are so many different types of lasagna recipes and these vary depending on the area of Italy they come from. They can be cleanly layered and free standing or saucy and in a dish. No recipe is right or wrong. Just enjoy them all
