古代ローマのオベリスク。 ピンチョの丘の少し奥まったところに、ひっそりと建っています。 スペイン階段の方から、ローマの景色を楽しみながら散策できます。
Obelisk of ancient Rome. It is quietly built in a little deep place on Pincho Hill. You can take a walk from the Spanish Steps while enjoying the view of Rome.

Very much wanted to see this memorial to the relationship of Hadrian and the young man he made into a god. Many people walk past in this busy park but it was a tick-off for me - and you can see the original site at the tomb at Hadrian's Villa at Tivoli.

A collectable, if you have like me project to find all obelisks in Rome, you will surely be here. Ancient roman copy of Egyptian original " It was commissioned and brought to Rome by Hadrian (117-138 AD). The hieroglyphics were probably cut in Rome, and state that the obelisk was erected on the site where beautiful young Antinous was buried, who drowned in the Nile while saving Emperor Hadrian’s life"
