Amazing square with one of if not the largest Egyptian obelisk taken by Rome during its conquering of the Egyptians. Once owned by the papacy it was given to the Roman people. It's centrally located and a must-see. One highlight is you can get to the Villa Borgese from here as well as the two roads that lead to shopping districts.

This is probably my favorite places to people watch for hours. The fountain and obelisk are just a great place to relax, reflect and see every walk of life passing by…. The blessings is when Italians ask me for directions to this or that….. I know I’ve arrived at my happy place!!!

A must visit. One if the largest plazas in Rome, all cobbled and no greens. Not a lot of place to sit except at the ends of plaza. The fountain in the center is great. It is a nice 3nd if one is doing the whole Villa Borghese trip, otherwise a great place to hang around after shopping close by!!

Nice place especially for families, at the end of via del corso street you can have a break here, many restaurants and shops in the area, and the place is very wide so the kids could run, play, and enjoy their time. Usually it will be crowded as many people come to take photos, and the kids to play. The buildings here is also nice and surrounded by many trees.

Great Piazza, super open space with some great architecture. The obelisk is in fantastic shape, worth the look.

For me, it reminds me of Times Square in New York, United States. The most important monuments in Rome, it seemed to me, are concentrated in a single location. It is not far from the "Alter of the Fatherland" and "Piazza Novana." Several architects worked on this monument at different times and made various changes. Between 1811 and 1822, it was the first building created by Giuseppe Valadier, a historic architect. The area is so large that it was formerly used for traffic and parking before being converted to a pedestrian zone. This is a lovely monument. It's wonderful to be here!

This is a very big yard with a big obélisque in the middle and two baslica around. A nice fountain is there as well. The view from the hills which is accessible by stairs is really amazing... I can say it's good to visit if you have time ....
