Ze zouden hier wat meer tijd en geld aan moeten besteden om het mooi te maken. Ook die gebouwen ernaast mogen wel plat om te zien wat er nog meer onder verborgen ligt. A bit dirty, old rubbish, covered with moss. The signs cannot be read because of the graffiti. They should spend a little more time and money on this to make it beautiful. Those buildings next to it can also be flattened to see what else is hidden underneath.

Restos de un templo muy antiguo dedicado a las Ninfas. Apenas he encontrado información sobre el mismo. Una mampara de metacrilato debería permitir observarlo desde la calle, pero está sucísima y no permite ver nada. La mejor vista la tendrás en las fotos que alguien ha colgado en Google Maps (no en la mía, precisamente, porque es terrible...). Sería genial que cambiaran la mampara para poder tener mejor vista, aunque en realidad, en comparación con casi cualquier otro monumento, estas ruinas carecen por completo de interés. In questo caso, lungo Via delle Botteghe Oscure, si vedono un paio di colonne scanalate, oltre ad altri frammenti marmorei, che facevano parte del cosiddetto Tempio delle Ninfe, edificio di culto costruito nei secoli precedenti alla nascita di Cristo. E' anche interessante notare come, successivamente, proprio in questo fazzoletto di terra sarebbe sorto uno spazio urbano molto importante per i romani: il luogo dove venivano distribuite le razioni gratuite di grano ed altri alimenti di prima necessità alle fasce più deboli della popolazione romana (razionamento gratuito chiamato annona). Il sacro ma anche il profano della vita di tutti i giorni, uno spaccato della vita quotidiana e culturale della Roma antica immortalato in queste poche colonne. Oltre la consuetudine e attento ai particolari, perché il complesso archeologico non può essere diventato solo un ammasso di resti. Le fonti antiche raccontano che qui, nell'area sacra, una struttura quadrangolare racchiudeva i templi situati nel campo Marzio. Provo a ricostruire ciò che si palesa, la Forma Urbis severiana, e il tempio delle Ninfe, di cui rimangono parte del podio, due pilastri con capitelli corinzi e alcuni resti sparsi in una piccola area racchiusa tra i palazzi di via delle Botteghe Oscure. Poca cosa rispetto al portico costruito in età imperiale, con le otto colonne sul davanti e le dodici sui lati lunghi. At that age...
