Lots of cute cats. You can lure them to come to you if you have some treats, but please don't do that as these cats are well-fed, and they don't need any more food. It was a great sight with the ancient ruins mixed with the wild cats. I strongly recommend the place if you like cats.

Very interesting place, sadly through the ages a lot of material was removed for building other palaces, churches and houses. Here lies a large part of the history of Rome. The Temple where Julius Cesar was killed. Now they are working on the possibility to vist this most important site and there are also explanations and photographs on the surrounding fence. I have posted some.

This place is beautiful, any single corner can tell you the story of what happened there many years ago. If you love history, and you have a chance to come to visit Rome, please don't forget to do this, to visit Torre Argentina, really amazing. You'll be surprise by the to many cats you'll see walking around in that place, there is a sanctuary (charity) looking after them, basically street cats they have been rescued. Rome, one of the most beautiful cities in the world; my memories from Rome are there always in my heart, and I say always, Roma...Amore mio!

This site is still under renovation and you are currently only able to look down at the ruins, not actually walk down amongst them. There is limited signage on the perimeter to tell you what you’re looking at, but this is where Julius Caesar was killed. Now cats take refuge here and you can spot them all over. Definitely walk down the stairs and stop inside the actual cat sanctuary at the southwest corner. Most people don’t know that you’re able to walk in and visit, which is well worth it.

I fell in love with the cats here! In the historical site live lots of cats and there is a cat sanctuary caring for cats, also helping to rescue some of the poorly street cats needing extra attention. The lady was very friendly and you can also buy little cat theme products. I visited every day of my break in Rome as fell in love with all of the cats ?

This may be my favorite site in Rome and also the site of the assassination of Julius Caesar which some say happened where there is a tree in my photo. Every time we walked by I wanted to make a lap around part of the theater of Pompey the great. It's so cool to see this ancient site amongst modern Rome. There is a great little pizza place called Pizza Florida across the street.

If you’re in the area this a MUST. If not, not so much. If you love history, then enjoy this. Eventually there will more interpretative information. It is an important location. Because it is here that Julius Caesar was killed.
