Din nefericire astăzi acest important lăcaș de cult este aproape mereu inchis, ia rarele ocazii cand poti intra admiri pictură cu Sfânta Margherita realizată de Animale Carracci, lucrări realizate de Vignola, Federico Zuccari, Ottaviano Mascarino, Marcello Venusti... The Church of St. Catherine dei Funari located a few tens of meters from the Theater of Marcello, on via dei Funari is distinguished by a very original bell tower designed by a student of the brilliant Michelangelo, Guidetto Guidetti in 1564 approx. Unfortunately today this important place of worship is almost always closed, take the rare occasions when you can enter admiring painting with St. Margaret made by Animale Carracci, works by Vignola, Federico Zuccari, Ottaviano Mascarino, Marcello Venusti ...
G	Giralquivir on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Magnífica fachada de una iglesia que nunca conseguí ver abierta a pesar de intentarlo en diferentes ocasiones. la fachada maravillosa en trasvertido blanco con sus dos cuerpos y sus columnas y pilastras corintias que realzan la hermosura de la misma. Me hubiera gustado ver el interior. Tras venir descubrir que se hacía previa cita. Algo importante a saber para quien desee visitarla. Otra vez será. Magnificent facade of a church that I never managed to see open despite trying it on different occasions. the marvelous facade in transverted white with its two bodies and its Corinthian columns and pilasters that enhance its beauty. I would have liked to see inside. After coming to discover that it was made by appointment. Something important to know for those who want to visit it. Maybe next time.

Al suo interno si può ammirare la straordinaria tela, di Annibale Carracci, che raffigura santa Margherita, che invita gli astanti ad elevare i cuori: SURSUM CORDA. Tra le altre opere conservate all'interno l'Assunzione di Scipione Pulzone, san Giovanni Battista di Marcello Venusti e la Deposizione di Girolamo Muziano. One of the most beautiful churches in Rome for its architectural layout and for its preserved works; pity it's always closed. Inside you can admire the extraordinary canvas, by Annibale Carracci, which depicts Santa Margherita, who invites onlookers to lift their hearts: SURSUM CORDA. Among the other works preserved inside the Assumption by Scipione Pulzone, San Giovanni Battista by Marcello Venusti and the Deposition by Girolamo Muziano.

The city has arranged a scheme for pre-booked visits, but the application form is not readily available online. Have a look at the church's web-page on "Churches of Rome Wiki" for a link.
