β β β β β Stunning synagogue.
While there are plenty of impressive churches and many in Rome, it is not common to find a synagogue anywhere with this size or style anywhere on the world.
Quite surprising it was kept through the ages maintained so well.

β β β β β Recently visited for a walking tour of this wonderful synagogue. The times are a bit patchy so ended up having to return the next day before getting on one, and the entrance was actually on the river side of the building through a small gate to the right of the doors. However once you get in it's pretty spectacular. Our guide was very warm and personable and you could tell she was extremely proud to tell us of the building and the community's history. Besides the main space of the temple and a small museum and gift shop underneath, there isn't much else to see, however there is a free Holocaust museum next door that adds a lot more detail that I'd urge you to see.

β β β β β The Temple is beautiful, though you pay to pray. The area, the ghetto, the entire section of Roma is so unique when compared to the rest of "Christian" Roma, that it is very cool to be there. Great restaurants.. Gotta get a friend artichoke, but don't be let down, it's what it is. Overall, a nice area to walk around, old and cool art. Feels good to be around a few other Jews visiting Roma, too, I must admit!
