Clean, well organized, well lit, good explanatory notes. Honestly, while vastly smaller than the Vatican, the organization and presentation is far superior. Scenically built around a courtyard are 3 buildings, connected by underground chambers. Centrally located in Romes center. Buses are easy to use here. Well worth a visit.

Very chaotic, super-easy to get lost and quite expensive for people that don't hold MiC card. There is no story, no signs that leads you through exhibitions. Besides that, obviously the collections are great, they are well preserved and come on, it is one of the first museums in the world... but still, a lot to improve in my opinion.

Located on the Capitoline Hill in Rome, this complex of museums surround the Piazza del Campidoglio and is considered the oldest museum open to the public in the world. The museum started when Pope Sixtus IV donated a group of bronze sculptures to the city in 1471. Today, these museums are comprised of some of Rome's best historic artwork. Notable pieces include the She-wolf which depicts the ancient founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus, pieces from a once-massive statue of Emperor Constantine, as well as paintings by Titian and Caravaggio. A visit to the renowned Capitoline Museums is a must for art history enthusiasts with its extensive collection and deeply rooted history.

Super museum - some of the best classical sculptures in existence. Most of the rest are in other Rome museums! The view over the Forum is wonderful too.

The thing that impressed me the most was that this museum, which I learned before entering, was the first museum opened in the world. I saw the first works exhibited in the first museum opened in the world. This is incredibly exciting for everyone. It is one of the museums you should definitely see in Rome.

My personal opinion- not much. Ticket is too expensive comparing to the content. Only thing worth the while for me were Caravaggio and Velasquez, and the statue of She-wolf. I have somehow expected more. In addition, the museum seemed like a maze to me even tho it all looks very simple on the map you can take at the entrance, easy to miss some rooms if you are not careful. I do not recommend refreshments at the coffee shop there, coffee we had just wasn't good.

This is a must-see place for all travelers. One of the best museums I have been all my life. Constantine’s head is being displayed here. I recommend allocating 1-2 hours for this museum as there is a lot of things to see.

This museum is amazing with lots and lots of rooms of different sculptures, paintings and ruins from all sorts of different famous artists. You can easily spend the whole day here and not notice the time go by. The underground section is probably my favourite there as it gives a view over romes ancient forums. Overall a good museum to go too and the tickets aren’t too expensive.
