J	Jeanne Benschop on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We picked up the car at the airport. It was busy, but we were helped fast. Deskemployee spoke fluent English. Everything was digital also singing the contract. We got an email immediately with all the forms. The car was an new Opel and had great features: good airco and cruise control and adaptive lights. Usage of petrol was very low. I returned the car in Palermo. The city office is easy to find and the employee was very kind. I had a intense drive through the city and he calmed me and gave me some water. There was no long wait for the final delivery. I can recommend everyone sicily by car. I booked with sunny cars (a Dutch agency)

We booked a car online, with a credit card, and when we arrived at the airport to pick up the car and deal with the rest of the papers and payment the worker, named Luca, refused to accepted our card. He did not even try to use it. When I asked him is identification he also refused to give it to me. We went to all of the other car rental places and all of them accepted the card. Horrible professional, rude, do not recommend it to anyone.
a	alina mcconnochie on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sicily by Car was very professional, they had our reservation ready, took time to explain parking and ZTL areas, the car was slightly bigger and nicer than the one we reserved, drop off and pick up was fast and easy. The staff I spoke with also had excellent English which made everything easier since my Italian is pretty much non-existent. Would hire from here again next time I am in Sicily!

If you get stuck in the middle of the road with car issue ( which is not your fault!) You are on your own. Do yourself a favour, pay a little extra and get a better company. Absolutely rubbish! I wish I believed the reviews. This company is a scam.
M	Melissa Delzio on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked a reservation online and received a confirmation. The charge was even pending on our bank account. But when we arrived, they had no record of this reservation (maybe because the charge was pending?!). Not sure why it didn't go through right away, but this was not something we had control over. The staff said we could cancel that reservation and book directly through them, they had one car available. But they booked us for DOUBLE the price of our reservation. When we returned the car, the we had to take a number and wait in line, but we our number was indicated and we moved to the counter, the staff was rude, disdainful, accused us of cutting in line, and we presented our number, they told us to go wait longer outside. Overall, it was double the price of what was presented online and in total we spent two hours waiting, dealing with rude staff. Look elsewhere!

Amazing location in the city center, and Riccardo and the team are always friendly and helpful. I have got various cars from here and they have all been fab! If you don't need a car for your entire stay in Sicily... and are in Palermo - this place just might save you a trip to the airport. Thank you, and see you guys again soon. Cheers :))
J	Jakob Fix on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having read the many dozens of negative reviews, I was really apprehensive and feared the worst, but in the end our experience was a really pleasant one, even with an upgrade. It's necessary to have a credit card and not a debit card, also we sent the e voucher to the address they had put up at the entrance while we waited. We had booked the cheapest car they had (Fiat Panda or similar), at the Palermo city station, for the next day and for one day only which is probably different from many other people. We bought the full insurance which for the day was just 25 Euro. And given that they upgraded us to an almost new VW Troc cabriolet (2300 km) for no extra cost that was money well spent, especially as they don't look at the car too closely when you return it, in this case. The car return was also extremely smooth, we were at the station just before opening, no waiting, no fuss, the deposit returned without issue, back in the street at 8:59 (they officially open at 9h)?. Just adding a review where things went really well. Just hoping I don't get any parking or speeding fines!?

I'm not sure who these people are who keep having negative car rental experiences, but I've been travelling for the past year full-time and have rented a dozen or so cars from many different agencies and I can say that Sicily by Car is just as good as everyone else. I rented in February 2022 in Palermo and had good, friendly service, a good car with good fuel efficiency, and a great price. No stress. They didn't try to sell me insurance I didn't need. All of these negative reviews make me think that people like me who have good experiences don't bother to write a review, and/or that these unsatisfied customers are the problem themselves and are either unorganised in life or are just unhappy people overall.
