I	Irmgard Berry on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked this guided tour for my last morning in Venice and, as I was the only one who had done so, I was treated to a private tour with guide Luca, who was absolutely charming and spoke perfect English. It felt more like a Sunday morning stroll with a friend, hearing his wonderful stories of the Cannaregio area with all the connections to his family and his own life. He has such a wealth of knowledge about this fascinating area, and Venice in general, and it was all given in such an entertaining and engaging way. It was truly wonderful to see a young man so passionate about his home. A highlight was a private demonstration of Murano glass jewelry-making in a little workshop (Momylia) down a side-street which I would never have found by myself! In fact, the whole two hours (which flew by!) was most definitely a highlight of my visit to Venice and I highly recommend it to anyone who would like to discover more of Venice than just the usual tourist spots, spent in the company of a most convivial Venetian! If I ever have the chance to visit Venice again, I would most certainly book for at least one of the other tours offered by this enterprising young man.

He gave us such a great tour, of little special places in Venice. He showed such dedication - and also gave many personal stories just about normal live for a local in Venice. Before I used to consider Venice a just a place with too many tourist. But after the trip with Shome- I know far more about the history of the place, and have a far more positive picture of Venice. Thanks for a good experience If you visit Venice - i think it is a must to take such a tour with the local guys from Shome Venice! You will not regret that

I spent three days last summer with the tour guide Luca and I am pleased to say that it was the best experience I've ever had. He is very knowledgeable about the history, the legends and mysteries of Venice and his English is impeccable. I could spend hours and hours telling you about the great experience we had, the passion Luca has for his job and the amazing way he makes you feel involved in his stories.. but I'd rather stop writing and start planning my next trip to Venice with them! Luca and company are extraordinarily knowledgeable and accommodating! He pointed out things that we had walked by the dozen times and never seen and showed us places we would never found.
