"Free Walk in Venice tours" indipendent licensed Venice free walking tours

I took the Northern Venice tour with Alice, and the Southern Venice tour with Lucia during my stay in Venice. These two tours were created as complimentary tours to one another, and I am very happy that I went on both. I was very impressed with both tours. Alice is a great speaker, and I enjoyed listening to her throughout the tour. She gave a great synopsis of Venetian history, and she gave great tips for how to spend our time in Venice. At the beginning of Lucia's tour, she pulled out a flag and put on a microphone, which are two things I have never seen on a free tour, so it felt very professional. Throughout the tour she gave great information about the history of Venice, as well as local tips in order to have the most authentic Venetian experience possible. At one point we even had time to step into one of the churches on the tour and take a look around - another thing that has never happened on any free tour I have been on. At the end of each tour, the guide passed around a list that contained must-see locations, restaurants, food and drinks to try, transportation tips, and more. I assumed that these lists were created by the tour guide company; however, Alice's and Lu's lists were different, which was wonderful because it gave variety to the things on the list. We were able to take pictures of this lists, and I referred to them frequently throughout my trip. Alice also passed out maps at the end of her tour which had more suggestions of things to do and see while in Venice. Both tours were absolutely wonderful, and two of the most impressive free tours I have experienced.

Lucia gave us a very nice kickstart to Venice. Citing not too many historical details, one got insights from a local that grew up there. The love for the place and some local pride was tangible. She even offered to answer any queries after the tour by phone. We put it to test several times and got recommendations from her very promptly (might be different during busier non-corona times?)! We really enjoyed it, thank you so much Lucia!

Lucia is so knowledgable about Venice and so natural in sharing everything she knows. I had great time on tour with her and used her tips and tricks for another three more days (orientation, restaurants, local food, area to walk in). It was BEST TOUR I've ever been to and I RECOMMEND FOR 100%!

Lucia was amazing! She's full of energy and very passionate about her city and took us away from the main touristic spots. She told us a lot about the history of Venice and we really enjoyed the tour. Definitely recommend!

This was probably the best walking tour I've ever done. Lucia was super nice and had very interesting facts about the city she was obviously very passionate about. The facts and historical stories were beyond the normal dry historical accounts and really gace a character to the city. Her food and drink recommendations were also great and kept us well fed and happy the rest of our stay. I would have done another tour with her if I had more time in Venice

Nothing better than a Venetian guide in Venice. Lucia was motivated and excited to show us the city. She gave us plenty of historical, practical and funny tips about venice!!

Lucia is a really great and passionate guide who tells stories in very interesting way. The tour was fun and entertaining. I really recommend it, you can learn a lot and have some amazing Venice experience with her!

We spent approximately 2 hours (the Venetian way) with Lucia today. I want to spare a long read and simply say this. I start any new place with a walking tour. This gives me a feeling of the city, the history, it's people, traditions etc etc. I have been a part of maybe more than 30 such tours in the past 5 years. Lucia's tour hands down is the one that I will remember for a long time...maybe even forever ! Why? She is original, humble and a lovely person. Just do yourself a favor and join her while she gives her heart that she shares with Venice with you. Thanks Lucia.
