★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the chief attractions of the church are the twenty-two painted and gilded wooden statues (artist or artists unknown) which line the nave, eleven on each side. The statues stand, above the marble columns, on platforms which are supported on the north side by gilded wooden angels and on the south side by dark crouching figures. Why the difference?
The church also boasts paintings by Lorenzo Lotto and Cima da Conegliano and a fresco by Sebastiano Ricci.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most highly decorated churches in Venice, it is easy to miss because the facade is rather plain. But the interior is magnificent! There is a 3 € entrance fee and well worth it! There is an additional fee for other parts of the church which I did not go into.
