★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 430% tourist tax on vaparetto taxi (boat taxi). Locals pay €1.40 for one ride. Tourist pay €7.50 for the same ride. Walk to your destination. It is healthier and you won't feel ripped off.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an easier way to major tourist spots in Venice. Buy tickets then ride the boat. May transfer from port to port. During peak hours, really very busy with tons of tourists. Not too comfortable ride but if you have problems with mobility and may be don't want to walk with the blistering sun, then this may be a better option. By the way, walking is a must in Venice. It is really awesome to see the architecture, check out local vendors/stores, churches, try out their foodies, etc. One of my favorite places. Will come back.
