J	Jonathan Steflik on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I noticed that this is the former "red and white" trail from Corniglia to Vernazza, and they are now calling it the blue trail. The old trail markets are still there indicating such. I don't mind, just note this trail is a bit more advanced than the flat sentiero azzurro. I also don't mind paying to use it now because it keeps tourist traffic lower and pays for trail maintenance.

All places are hopelessly crowded, the hiking trails are interrupted (Riomaggiore-Manarola closed, Manarola-Corniglia closed) so you are forced to move between the villages by trains... which are mostly delayed and also heavily overcrowded! The landscape may be beautiful, but to be experienced in quieter months! What puzzles me more: the two hiking trails have been closed for years now... there must be no real will to repair them!
P	Pangloss98 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Breathtaking views. Worth the effort. Did Monterosso to Vernazza. It's a high trail with a lot of steps, uphill climbing, narrow paths, remote, etc. that I was not prepared for on crutches. It seemed there was a low easy trail and another high one but actually there is just this one. Halfway there is a refuge for cats where there is a note to pls check if the cats have food which is in a bin to distribute. If I'd have known I would have brought some to leave. There is a box to leave donations. Unusual place for a refuge, no houses in sight as is the case for most of the trail. Trail took us a few hours, I'm slow, but many people we met along the way had not foreseen the level of difficulty either. We read 1.5 hrs. on reviews, just in case allow at least 3 hrs of daylight. Bring water even if it's winter. On our trip (winter) there were no attendants like in summer.
M	Mattias on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful path along the coastline that connects the five villages. In my opinion a lot of money for a poorly constructed path where you can easily sprain something. Nice to combine with the train. You can continue to the last village and then travel back by train.
D	Dominika Nosková on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gorgeous views! It’s quite demanding (lots of stairs climbing, big stones, slippery after rain), so make sure to wear good shoes and bring enough water. Be prepared for lots of hikers, would recommend to start very early. We did the part from Vernazza to Corniglia, it took apporx.1,5 hours with lots of photo stops.
L	Leiya Rabe on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really pretty view of the sea! Clean and not so crowded in the morning. The directions are well indicated and there are some incredible spots to admire the landscape
O	Oana Andruc on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went on the scenic trails from Monterosso to Vernazza and from Vernazza to Corniglia in September. It was not very crowded, but it was still super hot. Although the announced temperature was 25 Celsius, it felt like 35, the sun was burning and most of the way was out of shade, so don't forget your SPF, your hat and water. I didn't find the trails challenging, but I was surprised by tourists taking it in flip flops. It's not that kind of walk, better be prepared for it. Fantastic views, too bad the other parts were closed.
