★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesetta dir poco meravigliosa. Se poi ci aggiungiamo che era la Chiesa dove era consueta andare la Dolcissima Santa Gemma Galgani.... c'è la possibilità di vedere la panca dove Lei siedeva e dove era solita confessarsi. Se venite a Lucca non deve mancare la visita a questa Chiesa! ??❤️
 A wonderful little church. If we then add that it was the Church where the Sweet Saint Gemma Galgani used to go .... there is the possibility of seeing the bench where she sat and where she used to confess. If you come to Lucca you must not miss a visit to this church! ??❤️

Si trova dietro alla casa dove S Gemma ha dimorato per gli ultimi anni. Tutti i giovedì alle 18 potete partecipare all’adorazione guidata dalle suore e recitare l’orazione a Maria SS della Rosa, con la quale potete ottenere 40 giorni di indulgenza.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful little gothic XIIIth century church leaning against the outside of the ancient Lucca's roman city wall. Called "church of the Madonna of the Roses" due to the flowers that the ancient virgin's icon holds, it also stands in front of the house of saint Gemma Galgani.
Just outside are also present a few blocks of the ancient city fortification and the modern city walls.
From the outside can be noted the shape of the ancient bastion.
The gothic decorations make it a jewel of the city.
