★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una de las puertas que te puedes encontrar en la ciudad. Esta enclavada dentro de la ciudad perfectamente y te presenta la majestuosa de la ciudad. Desde este punto el tráfico no se permite, los a los vehículos autorizados. Puedes aparcar fuera de la muralla o cerca de esta puerta encontramos un apartamento de pago al aire libre pero tuvimos suerte, normalmente tiene que estar lleno. Es lo más cercano a la la Torre que puedes aparcar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La porta SS. Gervasio e Protasio, detta anche dell'Annunziata, ultimata nel 1255, delle quattro originali delle mura di Lucca è l'unica ancora esistente assieme a quella dei Borghi a nord posta all' inizio di via Fillungo.
La porta è costituita da un unico arco alto otto metri, rinforzato da due torrioni semicilindrici, un tempo merlati come le mura, in pietra arenaria grigia con decorazioni di calcare bianco.
Oltre che dalle due torri laterali e dalle imposte in legno (di cui sono ancora visibili i cardini), la porta era difesa da un ponte levatoio nonché da un antiporto esterno che oltrepassava il fossato.
La particolarità di questo monumento risiede nella possibilità di accedere alla parte più alta dei due torrioni, collegati tra loro da un ampio camminamento che offre un incredibile panorama sulla città. ?️
