La più bella di quelle che abbiamo visto a Lucca durante questo finesettimana, o perlomeno è una delle pochissime ad avere l'accesso libero senza dover pagare il biglietto d'ingresso. Peccato sia sconsacrata e che l'altare maggiore versi in condizioni pietose. Mi sembra anche che ci siano ancora le reliquie negli altari laterali... Bah.
The (ex) church is magnificent ... The most beautiful of those we saw in Lucca during this weekend, or at least it is one of the very few to have free access without having to pay the entrance ticket. Too bad it is deconsecrated and that the high altar is in pitiful conditions. It also seems to me that there are still relics in the side altars ... Bah.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ chiesetta romanica deliziosa, da fotografare d'inverno per l'enorme albero che cresce nel cortile alla sua sinistra e che conferisce all'ambiente un'aura romantica, o meglio "gotica" (il che è un paradosso per una architettura romanica ?). Graziosa anche la cornice della piazzetta del Suffragio, su cui si affaccia il prestigioso Istituto Musicale Luigi Boccherini. Nella piazzetta un monumento moderno di Boccherini stesso al violoncello ? ricorda la caratteristica "musicale" dell'area??
delightful Romanesque church, to be photographed in winter for the enormous tree that grows in the courtyard to its left and which gives the environment a romantic, or rather "Gothic" aura (which is a paradox for Romanesque architecture ?). The frame of the Suffragio square is also graceful, overlooked by the prestigious Luigi Boccherini Music Institute. In the square a modern monument of Boccherini himself to the cello ? recalls the "musical" characteristic of the area??
