★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Attestata nell'XI secolo, fu totalmente ricostruita alla fine del XII. A navata unica con abside, a filari di arenaria, era completata nella parte superiore da una loggetta cieca, tamponata alla fine del XVII secolo. Il portale centrale è da riferire all'intervento di Guidetto: sull'architrave e sulla lunetta corre il tipico tralcio motivo-sigla del maestro, mentre ai lati aggettano due leoni in lotta con due figure di guerrieri.
Alla fine del Trecento la chiesa fu arricchita e ornata con nuove cappelle, affreschi e pale d'altare da alcune delle più rilevanti famiglie cittadine. Nel 1686 l'edificio fu rialzato e alle capriate si sostituì una volta a botte; nel presbiterio venne innalzato da Domenico Martinelli un maestoso altare maggiore.
 Attested in the 11th century, it was totally rebuilt at the end of the 12th. With a single nave with an apse, in rows of sandstone, it was completed in the upper part by a blind loggia, buffered at the end of the seventeenth century. The central portal is to be referred to the intervention of Guidetto: the typical branch motif-initials of the master runs on the architrave and on the lunette, while on the sides protrude two lions fighting with two figures of warriors.
At the end of the fourteenth century the church was enriched and adorned with new chapels, frescoes and altarpieces by some of the most important city families. In 1686 the building was raised and the trusses were replaced by a barrel vault; in the presbytery a majestic high altar was erected by Domenico Martinelli.
