Helpful front desk staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome, Especial Ivan I asked front desk staff for a balcony and that’s exactly what I got! The wifi worked well. The location was perfect for getting transportation.
B	Bor Greiner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The thing to like about Lido is that it is just a short Vaporetto (Venice water bus) jump from overcrowded Venetian San Marco square, but is generously offering much needed escape from in season tourist madness. Hotel itself is showing its age a bit, but that is easily overlooked in Venice and overshadowed by a very friendly service it offers. All stuff was polite, if not friendly, but be sure to ask for Mr. Ivan if you need a friendly and able 'concierge'. Our 'deluxe' room felt smallish, but of comparable size to typical hotel there. Do ask for "lagoon view" and be sure to pick a room with bath if you prefer it. Hotel offers only breakfast, but there is one good and one ok restorant adjacent (Ristorante Favorita and Tratoria Pancin). You can also eat in a nearby larger and more distinguised Albergo Ausonia Hungary hotel, owned by the same Russo Group. They sweetened the 5 nights deal with a free visit to a small cute basement spa in that other larger hotel which came handy after 3 day nonstop Venice march.
A	Alejandro Soto on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hotel with a great staff in a great place. The rooms are big for the area and the prices are great. It is located in the island of Lido, a small and quiet island next to venice. It is definitely better to stay here and take public boats to visit Venice.
D	Dony Benedict on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overlooking the lagoon, hotel Russo Palace is conveniently located 10mts walk from Lido SME ferry terminal, which is easily accessible via waterbus from airport and train station. Professional staff, clean and reasonably spacious room with decent breakfast options. Although, there is a bus service that drops you next to the hotel, we preferred the walk absorbing the fantastic view of the lagoon.

We checked-in to our economy room which sounds good right, 2 twin beds and a separate though non divided room with another twin bed and small desk with the bathroom in the middle. Slope of the ceiling in this this attic room means a lot of bumping your head and I am only 163cm in height (5'4") and still had a few bumps ha ha. Cooling is an issue as there is no way to keep the window open and being an attic room means it gets the worst of the heat, plus the in room air conditioning doesn't work very well. Bathtub, no possibility of shower due to the ceiling sloping right over the bathtub means mind your head when you climb out of taking a bath. Fortunately for the second night we were able to move to there ground floor room at the same rate, I'm not sure if this room was of the same category as it was nicer with tiled floors compared to carpet floors of the attic room. Ants were the only complaint in this new room and this seems to be common in Venice when it rains. Breakfast was good, with a variety of choices from fruits to scrambled eggs, croissants, yogurt, coffee, tea, juices, and cereals. Location of this hotel is not in the main islands of Venice which can be accessed with the water buses 12 minutes away and you save about $50 a night too and there is more space than the other islands of Venice and don't have to carry your luggage though the maze of streets. Peaceful beaches with the Adriatic Sea are only 3 blocks away too. Staff is very helpful and there seems to be someone there at least until 23:00 (11:00pm).
S	Sumaia Darra on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly , the breakfast was delicious and the women whose work at breakfast time was very nice and friendly, the hotel is 2 stops from the Lido station and 20 minutes by water bus from Venice. their is a view directly to the sea.
H	Harvey Hunter on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful little hotel, friendly staff and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. Ignore the "unassuming" reviews, they are not fair. Be realistic, you are not booking The Hilton, nor paying for it. Russo Palace Hotel is literally 10 minutes walk along the front from Lido centre and the main Vaporetti port. The staff are so helpful and will help wherever they can. Our room is superb, comfortable, spacious enough and very clean. The air conditioning worked well and hotel is quiet at night. The shower is wonderful. Lido is the perfect base from which to experience Venice, and then retreat to somewhere more relaxed. We wish our stay was longer and we will definitely return to Russo Palace Hotel. I have given 5 stars because this hotel ticks all the boxes. Reasonably priced, clean, comfortable, helpful, very well located and well presented.
